    Smokin'

Could be valve stem seals, those are (relatively) easy to replace. Just need compressed air to hold the valves up.

    express down?

Anybody ever tried to add express up to their cars as well? Just an idea that I got while driving around in a rental car this week - it's got express up and down, along with typical operation mode.

    express down?

Has anyone looked into adding express down to the passenger side of an 01-04 stang? I tried searching both on here and over at the corral with no success, any insight would be appreciated.

    thinking about headers?

When I put on my longtubes (had stock manifolds before) I noticed that they seemed to quiet things down inside the cab of the car; at least at typical RPMs anyway. Obviously if you're spinning 6k it's gonna be loud no matter what...

    Bassani or SLP

I know you said that you don't want to do headers right now, but I would seriously consider it if I were you. Reason being, if you get a midpipe for stock manifolds now and decide to go longtube down the road you get to buy ANOTHER midpipe. Like you, I opted to keep the stock manis initially...

    tubular k install ?

I'm guessing any reputable shop will just charge you the hours that the book calls for to remove/install a K member and install springs; alignment would be additional time on top of that. You could just call around to local shops and ask, that way you'd know for sure, or you could do it...

    ABS Sensor Bolt

that doesn't really answer what I was asking.. but for future reference, the bolt is 6mm

    ABS Sensor Bolt

Does anyone know what length/thread size the bolt is that holds the ABS sensor to the spindle (01 GT)? I didn't have the proper socket when I removed my sensors so I had to use vise grips and, as one might expect, the torx head didn't fare so well. I'd like to replace this bolt with a hex head...

    Daigosis, Help Please

If the circuit within the o2 is bad that would effectively negate your MILs (I think), so by rights you should be able to check resistance across your o2 sensor. My logic is that if the signal doesn't travel through the o2, your computer is just gonna read 0v input from the sensor. Again, i'm...

    Daigosis, Help Please

Oops, I guess I could have read your original post a little closer. I would second the notion of cleaning up the connections and trying again; if that doesn't work, you could try building your own and see if it helps. Due to the nature of the circuit in the eliminators, I'm not sure how you...

    Daigosis, Help Please

If you don't have cats then you need to disable the rear o2 sensors or you WILL get a CE light. If you do a search you can find a schematic for building your own MIL eliminators; costs you about $5 and a trip to radio shack. Or, if you want, you can buy a $400 tuner that'll do the same thing.

Hey you guys...I have a question..Im so lost

sounds to me like you need to confirm where your amp is getting its remote signal from..

    Transmission advice needed

I would think that the t45 and 3650 share a common bellhousing bolt pattern, but it is very probable that you'll need a new flywheel. In order to see what will interchange, try looking up the parts for both a '97 and an '02 and make a side-by-side list. That will tell the real story on what...

    shortened exhaust ques. ??

As long as you're still running the stock midpipe, I'd venture that most of the difference exists only in your head. Your engine will be fine until you can do your exhaust the right way.

    bullitt motor or just intake?

Is there any way to differentiate a legitimate bullitt motor from a standard GT motor with a bullitt intake? I'd like to know if there are any stampings on the block/heads that would indicate the actual origin of the engine.

2001 GT, clean! or...... please help!

Well it sounded to me like you had your mind made up from the get-go.. and regardless of what anyone else has to say about the car, you're the one that has to drive it. If you're happy that's all that matters.

    BOSS 302 stripes

There is a kid I know who has a '99-'04 Mustang (not sure what year) and he's got a set of the classic style Boss stripes like were used on the '70 car. IMHO it looks good, but I personally wouldn't do it unless I actually had that stroker motor under the hood. Kinda like putting 5.8 badges on...

2001 GT, clean! or...... please help!

Here's my $.02 - Stock for stock, the LS1 car is faster hands down. Having said that, the speed limits on public roadways are the same whether you drive a car with an LS1 or a 2v 4.6. My friend has a late 90's Trans Am, and working on that car is a real PITA; I wouldn't own one for that...

    Set my selling price...

Personally, that's what I would do. Take the coverage off of it, stop driving it, and make it a project. Look at it this way - down the road you are probably going to get the bug again, at which point you'll have to shell out cash for a different 'stang with who knows how many miles. You...
