    ok i snapped an axle last weekend at the track and when i tore it apart i found that i also had a chunk out of one of the small spider gears. i got another whole carrier from a friend and it turned out to be a 31 spline out of an explorer..now i know that the center pin is alot bigger in the 31...

    100 bucks..i couldnt find one for that..i just gave 200 for one this morning but its in the car and shifts perfect so i guess its worth it!! i will prolly still pick up one of those retainers for my other tranny

    thats ok, i agree with everything that you have said so far..lol whenever i get the cash together i will prolly put some draglites on it, the cragers are 14 in and its gettin too hard to find tires (especially slicks) so they gotta go too

    it is a 75.. mexican block 302, ported 351w heads, and all the little stuff..disc brake 9" rear with 4.86s.. its got all lexan windows and fiberglass bumpers and hood...its just a little project i picked up so i will have something that is automatic to race..my mustang is a 5 spd and i get tire...

    upgrading the front components will help with weight transfer therefore putting more power to the ground in the rear. i really dont see much need for coilovers in the rear on a street car,i have stock upper and lower control arms with lakewood 50/50s and mine does ok..i am about to put some...
