    GT or GTO?

Good luck finding a dealer selling a Z06 for anywhere near sticker. :) Odds of that are about as good as getting a Shelby next year for sticker...

    GT or GTO?

Base price on the Vette is around $44K. Still more than a Mustang obviously, but nowhere near $62K.

4th month in a row of lackluster Mustang sales

I went to a 4th dealer tonight, and they had one GT manual at $5K over MSRP. I was able to get them down to MSRP, but it was still a $30,000 car. I also looked at a 2005 GTO for $30,000. For $30K, the GTO is a better value IMHO. I guess it felt to me that for the same price, the GTO was a...

    GT or GTO?

I test drove both today (GT and GTO, both manual). For the same price ($30K for either one), IMHO the GTO is the better value. Again, IMHO, it rides better, has IRS, has a nicer interior, has a 6-speed manual - and last but not least the LS2 400 Horsepower motor. :) I didn't buy either one...

4th month in a row of lackluster Mustang sales

I went out looking today at 3 large Ford dealerships. The first one had no GTs at all, a few V6s. The second one had one GT, Automatic, at $3K over MSRP, fair amount of V6s. The third one had two GTs, both automatics, at $3K over MSRP, V6's out the wazoo. Apparently here in Denver the...

4th month in a row of lackluster Mustang sales

If you want a V6 they are plentiful. GTs (at least in Denver) are still very rare on dealer lots. If they had made more GTs and less V6s, sales might be better as well, as the supply of GTs seems to indicate that there aren't enough yet to meet demand.

4th month in a row of lackluster Mustang sales

Just a few weeks ago I stopped at the local Fraud dealer, and they still wanted $5,000 over MSRP on a GT Coupe. I hope they choke on it...

    are the sticks missing?

V6s don't get the same manual tranny as the GTs though.

    06 GT vert 35K

They probably prefer if you finance, because they typically make money on that as well. I doubt you'll do any better by paying cash, but you never know :)

    06 GT vert 35K

Because it'll be darn near impossible to buy a GT500 at sticker. I'm guessing most dealers will add on $10K or so to sticker, at least at first.

New stangs still hard to find?

Here in Denver GTs are still pretty rare on dealer lots, but the same lots seemed to be clogged with V6's (2005 and 2006).

    trans am

GM rated them low so as not to compete so closely with the Corvette. It's common knowledge that the LS1 in the Cambird was underrated by GM at 310HP. They were closer to 330-340HP.

    02 Z-28

I just looked in my 2002 Z28 brochure, and it says Traction Control is optional across the board - V6, Z28 and SS. Probably not too many Z28's or SS's out there without it, but it appears that you could get one without it if you really wanted to.

    Mustang friendly front end ramps?

Rhino ramps, as mentioned before. They're fairly long and have a shallow approach angle. If I can get my Z28 up them, you can get your Mustang up them :)

How is the mustang holding up?

This all varies by State, and generally there's more than "3 strikes and it's out" in the Lemon Laws. Usually there's an amount of days that it's been unavailable as well, but again this varies. It can also depend on the severity of the issue. A transmission that doesn't work is one thing, a...

    Shelby GT500 vs. '06 Vette Z06?? A decent comparison?

Bang for the buck, the GT500 wins. Best sports car still goes to the Z06 in my book. Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

    2000 vs 2005 V6 (makin sure)

IIRC, the 2000 V6s made 190HP or so, and had a 4-speed automatic. I'm pretty sure the weight is almost the same between the two, or so close that it won't really matter. I think you would take him, but maybe not by much. Just my guess though.

Anyone Interested In A Used Blk 05 Gt

Way too much, IMHO. $23K tops sounds more like it to me, but that's just my opinion. 1/3 of the warranty is already used up as well.

Test drove a new '06 Pony Package V6

I've seen some Pony's around here but didn't notice a 5" Pony on the fender. Is that included in the Pony package, or did the dealer perhaps add that? The V6 isn't much better on gas than the V8. If that was the decision maker for me, I wouldn't go with the V6 simply for the gas savings.

    Dyno'd my 05 GT ---> 384rwhp/373rwtq

That's very impressive, no NOS either? If that's from the stock motor without NOS or a blower, that's simply awesome.
