    For as long as I can remember, when I turn the air conditioning on in my 97 Cobra, the idle raises up to around or just above 1000rpm. Turn it off and it lowers back down to the stock setting. It's really annoying. At slower speeds, I can feel the increased idle pulling the car down the road...

    They do need vacuum. I remember removing the hose, adjusting the fuel pressure and then replacing the hose back on top. It does not remain exposed. As far as modification, I can't say. I remember buying it that way from a friend.

    Tim, I don't think stock regulators have an adjustable fitting on the top to regulate fuel pressure. The one you linked has an open vacuum fitting, like most stock regulators.

    I have a regulator left over from my 97 Cobra and I'm trying to identify the manufacturer so I can sell it. It looks identical to a stock regulator except the vacuum nipple has a threaded screw to adjust the pressure. The P/N printed on the body is 185JJBA. Thanks for your help.

    I haven't touched this car in awhile. I feel rusty. :D I need to pull the codes, don't have a scanner, have always used the Check Engine Light. Most instructions tell you to use a jumper between the single wire and the harness. I can't find this single wire under my hood for the life of me...
