    That is an odd issue, i have had failure to read device before but not being able to open the software is odd. Are you getting any error messages when trying to open it? I guess the easiest solution is to try a different computer. Hope you are able to get this worked out.

    Like someone else mentioned it does sound like an issue with the SCT tuner more so then the tune itself. I would say to try to load up a strategy tune and to see if the error codes pop up again. This will let you know if its an issue with the device or an issue with having a corrupt file...

    right, i believe the only way to have a tune be saved is to have it e-mailed to you from who ever did the tuning. The stock tune you can pull and save using the X3LW updater from SCT though.

    if your expecting to get the tuner soon and dont put that many miles on the car, i would only fill up like 1/3 - 1/2 tank or so with the 91 and run that down then fill up again on 91 before loading the tune. This way your not waiting longer to load the tune because of a full tank of an 87/91...
