    Was looking at getting rid of all the broke/plugged emissions hoses,lines and the smog pump. Looks like a late 90ish factory header form a ranger will fit in place of the stock manifold I now have with the 2 metal lines to vacuum lines spouting of it. Anybody done this? Will the ranger header...

    Best Mods for a non FI or turbo'd stang

    I got a carbed 86 4 banger,what all can I do for it to help it out? Already rebuilt the carb(twice) and it runs very well now,new plugs,cap&rotor,wires,muffler. Can this motor be de-emissioned and still run? Would luv to get rid off all the vacuum lines. I'm going to see if the timings off...

    Need Carb help

    It would start but was sooo rich that black smoke poured out the back and if you didn't keep it moving the plugs fouled out. Once apart I figured that was because of the accelerators pump diaphram(sp?) rubber being bad. The check engine light isn't on so I'm assuming that there isn't any codes.

    I rebuilt the carb on the 86. Looked easy enough,the accell. pumps rubber was cracked/tore. Put it back together with the new stuff,adjusted the new float per instructions. It'll crank but when you give it gas it just dies. I've adjusted the screw on the passenger side from all the way in to...

    What's the norm 4 oil pressure

    I just got a 86 coupe that has either 187 or 87k miles and the oil pressure hangs right at the N in Normal on the gauge is that bout right for one of these cars?

    how reliable is the 2.3?

    Seems that everybody luvs the FI 4 cycl's but what about the 86 back carbed ones,are they as good?
