Chris.
They have been sitting in storage in Calgary for a month. They were waiting to get them all so the Dealers would get them all at the sametime.
We got delivery today.
Easy now. Us faktory traned idaots have to fix yor unskilled *** ups.
There is a reason for every thing. And untill some people realize that. That's the way you will get treated.
You think a tech wants to keep messing with your car? It's trial and error to find out exactly the way you want...
If you have 4.10's and are just planning on running it on the motor alone you will probably be fine.
I only ran into problems when I fed it with nitrous. The converter slips with more power like I stated earlier. So it also revs higher at the end of the track. So it was ok at 7000 with 550hp...
My guess would be because of the long runner intake on a fuel injected Mustang. It will in most cases make considerably more low end torque. Stick a box style intake on a fuel injected car and it would make more top end power but sacrifice low end torque. Steeper gears can help to a point were...
Idealy you wast to be about 500rpm below your peak torque in your power band.
I make about 475lb/ft of torque at 4300rpm and the converter in my C4 stalls at about 3900rpm on the trans brake. Where you stall will also depend on the power you are making. For example, a converter behind a 500hp...
The part Ford uses for plugging the holes in the back of the heads is part# F4ZZ-6E086-A.
Comes in one package with two plugs. One for each head. I have the package in my hand right now.
Or you could find somthing else to plug them. But these plugs will look factory.
UPDATE:
There will be trophies for first place and runner up in each of the three class's.
This will be based on the best times that have been backed up by at least 10% in the qualifing rounds.
The ladder for the 8 fastest qualifers in the afternoon is for fun.
Sunday Sept 12th At Race City Speedway in Calgary.
Tech starts at 8:00am, on track for qualifing at 9:00am. Eliminations at 1:00pm.
There will be no laps done on the roadcourse because they would have to be completed by approx 8:30am before the Jr. dragsters run.
There are three classes...
So don't sell the beer. Sell a beer poster and have it come with a "free" case of beer.
It works with hockey or concert tickets that are not allowed to be sold on E-bay.
I have been to every Streetcar shootout this year in southern Alberta. (except the SIR shootout which was basicly a rainout anyway).
I am definitly not the fastest car out there but I like when no one else shows up to race. At least I'm sometimes the fastest guy there.
The reason I ask is because I put in five quarts and started it up to ckeck the fluid. It was low so I added another two quarts and shifted it through the gears but had no out put yet. I added another half quart and I had out put from the trans but it still showed slightly low on the dipstick...
Kind of tough to compete with the cars that run at Mission.
I've been racing all over (Calgary, Edmonton, Medicine Hat, Saskatoon) I haven't gotten a decent track yet with some good air. Fastest was 10.003@137 with a 1.50 60 foot time. Not that I would come close to a 9.34@150mph.
I'll see...
Less traction? *****!!!
I was hoping SIR would be a little better than Edmonton or Medicine Hat at least. I will most likely come down on Friday afternoon but I'm not sure if I'll do any racing on Friday night. Depends were we are staying.
