    Looking at my first 5.0. I found a '90 GT vert that I am interested in. The car appears to be all stock, down to the Ford mufflers. Being a car guy, I know to look for rust and other obvious things. Is there anything special I should be looking for on this car before I put in an offer on it?

    2V to 4V

    I sold my '02 GT and am going to buy a 96-98 GT. My plan is to swap out the 2v for a 4v (sleeper!!). I know I will need the ecm from a cobra, but are there any major issues I need to watch out for?

    I am going to be picking up a project car in a few months. I want to get a 96-98 GT and drop a 5.4L motor in it. I am curious as to why everyone seems to go with the 2V 5.4 instead of the 4V. Is there any particular reason?

    Has anyone had any experience with Pacesetter headers? I found a set of their long tubes that are vey low priced and am toying with the idea of buying them.

    Gasket

    I changed my intake plenum recently and noticed that the factory setup did not have a gasket between the upper plenum and the plastic intake manifold. The new one I bought did not have a gasket with it either. Is there not supposed to be one there? That just doesn't seem right to me. :shrug:

    I was cleaning my engine the other day & noticed some oil on the engine's right valve cover. It seemed odd since I know I didn't spill any when I changed it. I cleaned it and drove it for a few days. I checked it & it had a little oil there again. It looks like it is seeping out of the PCV valve...

    Fuel Filter

    I am going to change my fuel filter this weekend, but I have a question. I read in the shop manual that you need to relieve the pressure in the fuel system before removing the filter. I know where the shrader valve is, but have never touched one. How does that work?

    I had my '02 GT (auto) dynoed a while back & came away with 245 hp & 251 tq. I have noticed a lot of other cars with similar hp numbers, but they all have way more torque than mine. What is the deal? A buddy suggested that it may be due to a lack of back pressure since my exhast is pretty wide...

    I am considering building a 4v motor for my GT. Are there any differences in the 4.6 cobra engine blocks from year to year? I know the heads & cams changed in '99, but I never heard anything about the block.

    Water Spots

    I have some decal stripes on my hood and they are covered in water spots. I have tried everything I can think of, and nothing has helped. I really don't want to take them off because when they were clean, they looked really good. Now they just look dirty all the time. Any ideas????
