Got mine from stangsuspension March 2006 and they are painted grey. Still grey and no rust after 5 months of south Florida rain and humidity. Better paint them with something!!
Don't over torque the bolts!! 15-22 ft-lbs. If you over torque, the o-ring distorts and it will leak. The o-ring needs to be clean and dry when you start putting it all back together and also the mounting suface on the housing and intake manifold. Do Not Overtighten!!!
All front Mustang rotors are vented. Vented is not the same as slotted or cross drilled. No one driving on the street needs anything but stock rotors. If you are craving up tight mountain roads for extended periods of time and getting very high rotor temps. then you might think of slotted rotors...
August 2005--Southwest Florida to San Diego, Ca, 2650 miles 24.3 MPG averaged 67 MPH with A/C on the whole time. Cruise set at 75-78 MPH.

2001 GT---Max. towed wieght 1000lbs. Max tongue wieght 100 lbs. Max GVW 4490 lbs. I would bet a 17' bowrider w/trailer, gas, skis, cooler w/ice,beer, ect., wife, kid comes close to 2500lbs or more.
I think the shop didn't get the front pig tails in the right position on the
a-arm. If the spring is 180* off you can easily raise the front by 1". Take a wheel off and look at the bottom of the spring where it sits in the a-arm and you will see right away if it is in correct. Not hard to fix...
