fuel pump always runs, drag racing input

my 60 time was 2.1 best, mostly 2.2. I let the slicks smoke for a couple seconds in the bleach pit then i let go of the line lock, they were plenty slicky. I was increasing the launch rpms every run but then the brakes got noisy, and i thought i saw smoke coming from the back, so i stopped...

fuel pump always runs, drag racing input

just went into my garage and although the car was off and the key not in the ignition, the fuel pump was running and i could hear the fuel going through the rail on the engine. I tried to cycle the key off and on, but the pump still runs. I was thinking the ignition switch is bad. Any...

    Transmission Shops/ T5 Swap

my brother and i have both always used Trans-Pro in Lansing, IL. They are good guy and do a lot of hi-po work. They redid my brothers t-5 in his '01 GT. Their phone number is 708-895-0003. It is an easy swap though if you want to save a little money and do it yourself.

need info on early (carbed?) oil pan

the hole is way bigger than an 1/8 inch. dean85gt, do you know what size threads the low oil sensor is on your pan? i tried to put in a sensor that i got off of a later model fox (about a 93) that goes straight out the side but the threads were too big.

need info on early (carbed?) oil pan

tried the sheetmetal/rtv fix twice and it still leaks oil. did a little research and some website said the pan might be off of a late 70's full size car, but i don't think that is correct because the pan has a double hump like every other fox pan. anyone have any ideas?

need info on early (carbed?) oil pan

can't be a dipstick hole because with 5 quarts in the pan oil comes out of it (I thought it was a dipstick hole too at first glance). I don't think it is a turbo feed because it looks like a factory hole. the 3/8" pipe thread that i tried only went in about a quarter of a turn then it stopped...

need info on early (carbed?) oil pan

just put in a new motor in my fuel injected 93, the motor came set up for a carb but I put my FI intake on it. my most recent problem is i forgot to block of a threaded hole on the side of the oil pan. it doesn't look like the sensor on the side of my old motor (low oil i beleive). the hole...

    new motor, couple questions

Hi guys, I am putting in a new motor that I bought, it has trick flow heads, trick flow street heat intake, cam that I was told is between a B and an E cam, full length headers with h pipe. I have stock injectors now, I would think I need 24s, or maybe 30s? Also, best way to break it in, and...

    chevy question, sorry!

I figured that this question would apply to all V8's. I have a 95 Chevy 2500 with a 350 with high miles on it, unsure exactly how many. It has a huge appetite for oil, like 1 quart every couple hundred miles. I changed the pcv valve for kicks but it still burns it. I know it isn't leaking...

    what valvesprings?

My car has GT40 heads and an E cam, when it reaches opperating temp it runs rougher than when its cold, also pops through the exhaust at 5300 rpms, I was thinking that maybe the valvesprings are binding and floating the valves. Is there any way to tell what springs I have by looking at them...

Progress Thread: 3G install / parts / pictures

Just to add my two cents, instead of a fussable link or an inline fuse, I bought a circuit breaker from a speaker store. It cost $25 but if it blows on the road I won't have to find a replacement fuse. Also, you can take the factory 4 gauge wire coming off of the taurus alt (if you get one...

    '01 injectors on a '93?

My brother has a set of injectors from his 2001 GT which I was told are #24, will they fit my 1993 5.0? I have #19 now and a 75mm mass air, will I need to change the calibration tube for the mass air? How do I know what tube is in it now? Thanks for any help.

    what kind of timing light

Looking to buy a timing light, just wondering if the standard light would work or if I need to spend $100+ and get a digital one with advance. Also, what do I need to do to set my timing, on my old carberated car I had to remove the vacuum advance from the distributor. My car is a fuel...
