    My radio is stuck...

Thanks for the help guys, yea I know I'm not supposed to push it in that far but I was trying to get it inside the clip and gave it a whack to go in and it went too far. I have a feeling I bent the clip prongs or something. I'll try taking the dash bezel off, but are you talking about the 2...

    My radio is stuck...

So I'm trying to take out the factory Mach 460 head unit in my 2000 GT. I got the tool and removed the cd player no problem. When trying to take out the head unit, I pushed the tool too far into the holes on the left side and i heard a little crack noise. Now I can't feel the spring with the...

    Attending a car school. [should i or shouldn't i]

Man I'm glad I read this thread. I'm a commuting sophomore studying finance. I'm doing well but am very very interested in cars. I love working on my car more than any other not-person thing haha. I was considering leaving my current college and going to a tech school, but I've decided I'm just...

Changing the mach 460 head unit...quick question

Sorry for a late post, but I thought I'd add this: You don't NEED to get the Ford head unit removal tool. If you take a wire coat hanger (or equivalent) and make 2 U shape pieces with the straight parts about 8" long you can easily remove your head unit that way. Just stick the hanger into...

Do you have stock/shorty or longtube headers? Magnaflow makes a fine catted H, BBK too I believe.

    whats needed for my project??

MIL eliminators if you're getting an O/R midpipe. When i did my L/T's I slopped a bunch of Red RTV sealant on the exhaust manifold gaskets to ensure there were no leaks, this worked great. Good luck on the installs.

    LT Headers List

Like BCB00GT said, if you can reuse the stock gaskets, go for it. Whatever you do, don't buy them from ford, they are an incredible rip off. Summit sells them for like $20 for the set. I also took some Red RTV sealant and put a thin bead of it around there, the last thing you want after all that...

    code P0302...can't figure it out

Agreed. After autozone I checked out Advance auto parts, they actuall had one with that little bracket on it to mount to the intake manifold. It was just like the stock ones but gray and didn't say motorcraft.

    code P0302...can't figure it out

You've got the cylinder layout correct, here's some proof: http://www.moddedmustangs.com/reference/firing-orders.php If you're convinced one of the COPs is bad, take a voltmeter to them and measure the resistance. I forgot the proper amount of ohms, I believe 5.5? Either way, measure a...

    Emmision's questions. (CT guys Pref.)

I'm in CT too... I installed my LT's the week before my emissions test thinking I'll just swap back to stock in 2 years, after doing the install, I realized there's no way I'd be doing that every 2 years. I've heard of people passing with a prochamber (looks like cats.) Try and find an old...

Broke the Radiator Drain Nut Off...

Stupid me... I got carried away while tightening the plastic nut that you loosen to drain the coolant from the radiator. The stem of the bolt is still in there and it's obviously tight enough, so there's no leaks. I'm not in a rush to get it fixed, but I want to get the stuff so I can do it...

    BMW's and brake dust...........

It's not necessarily that the people are lazy. My father recently got a used bmw and within a couple hours of driving after a wash, the wheels start getting dirty again. It kind of sucks because you spend all that time washing them, then they dirty right back up. I must say though the brakes...

Welding in Cats to an O/R L/T Prochamber...

So as I mentioned in another thread, I don't like the stinkyness of my o/r prochamber. I'm running about 11.5:1 afr, so maybe that's why it smells a little more than normal, I don't know. Anyways, I was looking at cats on summit and jegs. Is there any one brand that is the best? I know...

    How much is too much?

I too am 19, I bought my car used with 60,000 miles, and it came with cobra r's and tires, tb and plenum, and catback, which was probably about $2,500. Since then, I've put another $5,500 in it. Now I'm at the point where I can either be done with the car, or get a shortblock, which wouldn't...

Where to get Catted H-Pipe for Longtubes?

I have an o/r prochamber with mac longtubes and I'd really like to toss the o/r and buy a catted h-pipe. I've searched the world over for a catted l/t prochamber, but couldn't find one. Does anyone know where to get one or any other catted l/t H? Thanks
