Nice bike! There was a tid bit in Hot Rod or Popular Hot Rodding a few months ago about a company doing carbon fiber wheels for street cars. I do not see that ever holding up for a race car but it could be done.

I ordered mine 6/10 with out a spoiler and I haven't gotten a build date either. I had heard that foating around on some other boards as well.

So the dyno is run on the same weight no matter what the car....just figured as a constant?

Don't know....I'd be curious to see exactly what it would be. But seeing how the dyno loads the car as to how heavy it is and applies that to the resistance of the drums when the car tries to spin them...the heavier the car the harder it would be to spin....or at least I'm taking a guess here...

As I have always heard it....when they say it increases by up to 7 points....thats 7/10ths of a point not 7. So if the bottle says 5-7 for 20 gallons then it bumps the octane up from 87 to 87.5-87.7 not to 92-94 octane But I do agree...dumping in high octane fuel just for the hell of it...

I ordered mine June 10, got an order number, and priority but nothing til they start the 06 production in august. Only thing I wish is that they had 'offical' pics of the wheel opitions, I'm hoping the base wheel still stays the bullitt ones as they don't have pics of the 18s yet.

The settings might not have been correct either....if I rememember correctly the Mustang Dyno asks for vechical weight as well doesn't it? Were all the parameters entered correctly?

Lighter is always better the only odd ball time that would come into play would be on a very heavy car with a very small motor that needs that rotating mass to get it moving off the line. One of the other benefits is that it lets the motor rev more freely allowing for quicker upshifts and...
