I used a similar paint to what is used in truck bedliners (looks the same, but can't remember the name of it) on all the undercarriage and in the wheel wells, and the components are all gloss black such as the front end pieces, gas tank, rear axle, suspension, etc..

Aluminum will keep it much cooler then the stock 2 or even 4 core will.. However i'm still running a 4-Core radiator in my 65 with a 347 and a 17" Flex Fan and don't really have too many problems unless its 95 degrees in the shade and im in traffic.. If your looking for a new radiator check out...
Im running 4.11's with a 347 Stroker Motor that redlines at 8000RPM (450hp) and 4 Speed Transmission.. If you do not plan on going over 60 to much you'll be fine.. If your going to take it on the highway I would go with 3.73's.. Now if you have a 5 Speed, Definitely 4.11's or possible the next...
