    Drive by video

I've been posting bit by bit, since I started this build 5 years ago. There are a few more mechanical things to finish before paint (this spring) including making it track legal. This is the first drive by video. YouTube - 67 Shelby GT500 Night Time Burnout and Driveby

    mcleod hydraulic T.O. bearing

I made my own hydraulic set up but with a wilwood slave (not a hydraulic t/o bearing) I started with a 7/8" bore master cylinder. I could barely depress the pedal. I reinforced the firewall (it was moving) and stepped down to a 5/8" bore master cylinder for more hydraulic advantage. Still...

88 GT seats - are they all the same?

I am just trying to make sure I get the correct upholstery kit. It looks like I have a taller headrest, power lumbar, adjustable knee support, adjustable bolster knob. My seats are blue right now. I'll try and upload a picture tomorrow

88 GT seats - are they all the same?

Hey guys, I picked up a set of 88 GT seats. They are destined to be re-upholstered and then installed in my vintage stang. What I need to know, is if there is any difference between the front buckets in these years 87-89? Coupe, vert, hatback, are they all the same front seat? Thanks for...

    Flowmaster vs Magnaflow mufflers

Never seen that before. What I found interesting was the Flowtech Warlock had about 10hp more than other mufflers at 3250rpm. Too bad that was with the pipes open

    Hidden antennas

I have one that is very similar to that. I picked it up from a local radio shop. I ran the wires theough the passenger side frame rail and am going to adhere it to the underside of the fiberglass front fascia. I have not driven with the car - yet, but inside the garage that I have the car...

    After 3 1/2 years IT'S ALIVE! (pics)

Thanks guys Had a long weekend break and wife has bought a car for herself (mustang envy) so I have not had much spare time this week. I am trying to get the radiator polished up this week. Burnt out one (cheap) die grinder already :(

    After 3 1/2 years IT'S ALIVE! (pics)

I started up the 428 tonight for the first time, installed in the car. I am pretty darn happy to be at this milestone, and have the car alive (so to speak) I decided to peel off all the masking tape and bubble wrap we had protecting the paint, and take some pics. Lots of details and...

Okay I'm excited now - dropped the 428 in last night

long block, is pretty stock. I bought it used, was told it had an RV cam in it. top end has the streetmaster 390 intake, which I'll add a 1" spacer. Holley 770 street avenger. MSD dizzy, edelbrock aluminum water pump. FPA tri-y headers. I'd like to do more to the engine, but budget is tight...

Okay I'm excited now - dropped the 428 in last night

It took about an hour. We had the toploader and headers installed but had to remove the passenger side header to get it in there. Lot's of work still, but a huge milestone in the car's restoration. Hope to have it all plumbed wired and fired up again mid next week.

Engine is getting close to going in

I haven't posted in a while. I have been working my @ss off on the car doing everything from wiring to the interior and stereo system. Anyway I have been working on the engine over the past few weeks. It's getting closer. I hope to be ready to drop it in next week. Here's a video before...

Some pics of the reassembly so far I actually have done a lot over the past 2-3 weeks. It just does not seem like it some times. Some parts actually look like a car! More pics in a couple weeks or so...

Tried on the 315/35/17's last week (pics)

Thanks. The mustang is such a cool car, I thought I'd apply a little more hot rod tactics to the build... Big Engine and Big Tires :D

315/35/17's on FR500's There actually looks like there is room for a 335/35/17 or 315/30/18. I should be able to slam the car to the ground with no clearance issues right now though.

    First paint pics

Thanks, the blue is a lambo blue, but I will have to talk to the painter to confirm that he didn't tweak it. It has a lot of pop, and does a real nice colour change to a purplish blue, at angles I am really happy with the results. The pics really don't do the colour justice. It looks far...
