    351w swap headers

Key words in Aero's post were "custom" and "tucked up under the car as high as (possible)" - that's what I was trying to say. For this specific ask, I think whoever does the work is going to have to bend metal to achieve the desired outcome. I doubt an off-the-shelf part does the job. I'm from...

    351w swap headers

BBK does sell them: https://bbkperformance.com/pages/search-results-page?q=351%20swap https://bbkperformance.com/products/ford-mustang-351-swap-1-3-4-long-tube-exhaust-headers-polished-silver-ceramic-86-93 But what you're asking for, a longtube that doesn't hit speedbumps, could be difficult...

Engine 93 Cobra new pedestal RRs reuse bolts?

Do you think I should grind the tips of the old bolts as their contact inside the head may affect the torque applied? I guess this is why stud mount are the preferred style!

Engine 93 Cobra new pedestal RRs reuse bolts?

Attempting to measure the bolts didn’t pan out so I used the original bolts. When torquing and shimming the RRs I noticed the stock bolts were coming out scarred as I guess the new pedestals and RRs aren’t as tall as the original (pic below). The new bolts I gave up on using appear to be a hair...

Engine 93 Cobra new pedestal RRs reuse bolts?

I know I’m tired because I have a two week old, and last night I was feeling pretty dumb thinking that these bolts are the same size, and just some old burnt oil was preventing them from starting. But today, after wire brushing a few holes with a rifle cleaning rod and a cordless drill, and...

Engine 93 Cobra new pedestal RRs reuse bolts?

Upon further inspection, I do believe the bolts are the same size. The stock bolts do have a taper on the tip to guide them in whereas the new ones do not. I’ve noticed something at the mouth of each rocker bolt hole, possibly burnt oil or old threadlock? In the pics you can make out the black...

Engine 93 Cobra new pedestal RRs reuse bolts?

With new Crane pedestal mount 1.6 roller rockers on AFR165s, can I reuse the stock 93 cobra rocker arm bolts (from the Crane/Ford 1.72s)? They appear to be similar length and there’s no free play when mocked up. The bolts that cam with the new Crane RRs appear to be a different thread count...

    Best Exhaust For A Grand

A5literman - I haven't checked out Bassani just because they're no carried by the typical mustang stores that I know of? Summit, Jegs, LateModelResto, CJ Pony parts... hoopty5.0 that setup sounds pretty good! Not too loud but a nice tone. thanks! I used to do so much more research than I do...

    Best Exhaust For A Grand

So I bought my 5th foxbody last November, my teal 1993 cobra. My third cobra and I finally got one I think I'll keep for a while! Anyways, it has the rare black cloth interior, some AFR 165s w/ a TFS intake and the usual bolt ons, gears, exhaust, etc. So my throw out bearing broke in half a...

    Fox New-to-me 93 Cobra: Speedo/odo Cable/gauge Noise?

So after a near-10-year hiatus from the fox body scene, I picked up a teal 93 cobra a couple weeks ago... and it's my daily driver for a bit (insane? yeah probably... but I love it) Overall the car has been very well taken care of and modded nicely. No major issues, but plenty of small things...

    Mustang Price(s)? Market Leveling.

He's talking about the $10,990 that a 86 GT with ~8k miles on it is currently going for on eBay. I saw a excellent condition 89 GT the same color scheme as my first fox body (also a 89 black with grey ground effects and a red stripe) and I almost thought about buying it instead of the teal 93...

    Build Thread 1967 Dynacorn Fastback

So after a long hiatus from the Mustang community, I'm finally coming back. I bought a 67 fastback a couple months ago and I have to follow this thread! My car is going to need much rust repair, but I'll enjoy following this build because I've always been curious about these car bodies. Badass...

    looking for a new project

Thanks Jordan! Really great reply. I know the easy go-to out of all of those cars is the C-2 vette, it's just that it costs 15K for a junker! ha! I may have to save and (oh don't want to say it!!) 'wait' for one that is right for me to fix up. Nonetheless, I will ask my aunt what she does want...

    looking for a new project

http://autosource.biz/Page/Pre_Registration.htm the bottom line up front: is this website for real? It looks kind of shady to me... anyone ever use it? The backstory: I'm returning from my third deployment. I've been in the Army for 10+ years and it's taken me away from my hobby that I 'grew...

    Timing ?'s

88LX, I was refering to how much the timing would change with the plug being put back in at idle only. Sorry if that was confusing. baggerman, the difference between 10 and 12 and 14 is minimal, but every lil bit helps!

    Timing ?'s

1-3 degrees. So not much, barely noticable. Your timing in advance of TDC at idle should be around 14 degrees if I remember correctly. The higher your timing, the higher octane fuel and thus harder-to-ignite yet hotter burn your fuel should be (read 91/93 octane). Anyways, advancing your base...

    Tremec 3550

How much side to side movement? this issue is probably in the linkage, as checking the mounting bolts to the shifter is easy enough, just take the boot off and check the 4 bolts. If they're tight, I'd take 'em off and look at the ball on the bottom of the shifter and then the arms they fit in...

    Cobra removable hardtop

reminds me of those SVO side pipe covers that were made with Borla parts... I paid like 1250 for a complete new set around 08 and wanted to shoot myself in the foot, even more so when I sold it in the same unused condition a couple years later for the same price... With these rare parts...
