Ready to blow the car up

I purchased a computer because I needed a computer. Mine was not functioning. I then made the observation that it fixed my surging idle that plagued me for years. Something the "Surging Idle Checklist" could not do. Deduction..... I think I remember why I haven't been on this forum in a few...

Ready to blow the car up

I've had a surging idle for years and lived with it. Recently the car really started acting a donkey....would die with no warning, fuel pump stuck on when ignition was on, successfully cranked only intermittently. It would throw a different code every time I pulled codes. New computer fixed...

**** Rigamaroles is a picture whore. Back from the body shop. 56k warning!

For another poster: HR Sports springs will give you a similar stance. I love the car. I like the stance, color , rims, debadged, etc. The only thing I would do would be to address the gansta lean and put the amber corners back on. NICE CAR

Values of '93 Fox 5.0 Notch...

A car can be an investment. I have a one tooth'ed cousin that had a Superbee in his pasture since 1981. He covered the moving parts with a thin oil and is now going to be quite wealthy. He has numerous under 50k miled Nomads and 440ci Cornonets. Automobiles are wonderful investments. Quiet down.

Values of '93 Fox 5.0 Notch...

You are much smarter than this statement. You should see the the cars sitting under insterstate 10 after Katrina. 50's,60's and 70's Mercedes, Ferrari's,BMW's , etc ALL with LESS than 40k to 50k miles and have orig tires, batts, etc. With a good key and batt- crank right up.

    Notch or Sn95?

Even with 39 posts.. This question should not be validated. I've had both. "Running the the gears" of a '79 - 93 fox is comparable to .383 Mopars (.440s), .302 z28's(.396's), .390 fords, Real Hemi's ETC. The FOX will be the the last MUSCLE car. It has the smell, the feel, "i don't know...

How to wire fog lights to operate independently

You are correct. When I was in college I was flying over "THE" Mississippi River bridge in BR and ALL lights went out on the car. You GT guys better upgrade the electronics. SCARY!

Those with Bilsteins/Aftermarket springs...LOTS of questions for anybody!

I have the HR sports springs with my Bilsteins based on many opinions on this and other stang forums and based on two seperate MM tech guys. I also was going MM coil-over but a MM employee actually talked me out of it. How many miles are on your stang? You will probably want to replace ALL...

Good lord, cars are fast now!

...and there you have it. I've talked with LSx owners, Z06 owners, VERY fast import owners that also have driven bone stock 5L foxes. Foxes are more fun. Although these other cars are much faster, they are not as fun. The foxes are among the most fun and enjoyable cars to DRIVE, not race.

What is the difference between FRPP B and C Springs?

The C's dropped my front 1.5in and the rear about 1in. Be warned- with the C springs you get numerous "kidney shots" while driving. I tried Bilsteins to no avail. Eventually I went with the HR sport springs _ same EXACT drop with much more comfort.

Trunk mat (rubber) for 5.0 hatch?

I just got a NICE trunk mat for my wife's Accord. Its a life saver- I can load up dirt, plants etc and not worry. Has anyone seen a rubber mat for the hatches? I'd like something black, rubber, with a lip on it to catch fluids etc. Thx-

Should I stay close to stock?

The more I get my car back to bone stock, the more I enjoy it. I've been taking silly mods off my car that the previous guy did. With the exception of exhaust, gears, shifter, synthetics and a darn thorough tune up I would leave it alone. One of my best mods was the replace every moving part...

I love the 5.0. I think that is the best color for solid colored 5.0's. I have the same rims and springs. Mine looks like it sits up higher???
