Little update... I reset the needle on the shaft to point mostly at zero and then put it back in the car. I drove around the neighborhood and it seems to be okay. I don't think it was the most accurate (kinda bounced between 10 and 30 the whole time) but being in the neighborhood I couldn't...

So there IS a little peg on the back of the face of the speedometer right where the zero is. In the picture its the small peg next to the triangle shaped plastic thing.... does that help point to a solution?

Mine does NOT have any pin near the zero.... maybe because it's a Saleen gauge face?

So would it be wrong to put the RTV around the whole oil pan gasket? What exactly is meant by "in the corners"? Is that the four outside corners at the ends of the gasket or the corners where it dips down to go around the crankshaft? Do you put the RTV on both sides of the gasket? Sorry for...

So I just put the car back together after replacing the clutch, oil pan gasket and the rear main seal (and several other things, but those are what are relevant). And of course I am leaking oil. SOOOO disappointing to put that much time and energy into something and it still be wrong...

Dumb question maybe but...you looked under the dash and made sure the cable is hooked on the quadrant properly?
