    Why the mustang?

Blah blah blah, run what ya brung, Ford or Chevy. Also, Chevy stopped making 350ci. V8's in their sports cars in 1997 ;). It's all good. Arguing displacement or mods gets you nowhere, it's what you show up with that counts. :flag:

Help me figure out what these mods supported.

^ Thanks again. BTW, what cc Chamber are you using on those Twisted Wedge heads for your blower application?

Help me figure out what these mods supported.

I was just wondering. Thanks! And yes indeed, I'm glad it came with bolt-ons, it saved me a good deal of money- I can just jump to heads and cam now.

Help me figure out what these mods supported.

I just bought a used, '88 5.0 conversion (former 4cyl). I'm picking up the car tomorrow. Here's the mod list, as advertised.... 1988 ford mustang convertible.5.0 engine GT-40 intake 24lbs injectors 1.72 cobra roller rockers.Cold Air Intake 73mm mass air-flow sensor.65mm throttle body.Ford...

    Why the mustang?

Working on my LS1 wasn't too bad. Heads/cam swaps are done with the engine in the car. Once you take off the coil packs and valve covers, everything's accessible. Headers went on easy also.

Here's an ls1 (Camaro) sounds website, if you're interested... www.ls1sounds.com Here was my car when it had 390rwhp..... http://www.ls1sounds.com/true_duals/TDs_3in_X-pipe_Flowtech-Afterburner-dumps.wma

    Good but quiet exhaust

Magnaflow 4X9 Ovals are relatively quiet and flow very well.

    Why the mustang?

I just sold my 460rwhp (540 hp) 2002 SS. It was a heads/cam, stock cube setup, daily driven- ran 11's on the tires I would drive to work in. It sounded like it would eat you alive- but it was a totally different sound than a Mustang. I now bought an '88 Fox and let me tell you, aftermarket...

Going from high flow cats to OR X. Newb Sensor/tuning questions...

Excellent. Thanks. The tuning question was for future mods (I didn't think an X-pipe swap would need tuning).

Going from high flow cats to OR X. Newb Sensor/tuning questions...

My car (just bought it -'88 5.0- and it's being shipped to me) currently has shorties going to high flow cats and a MAC catback. I'm swapping out the cats and catback for a PYPES Off Road X and Pypes catback. A few questions.... I'm new to Mustangs; A) so how many O2 sensors do we have...

    347 in and running

Specs of the cam in my SS were: 231/237 .598/.595 112 That wasn't so hard, was it? Only 2 reasons I know for hiding specs: 1) Cam (and entire engine) will be used for money races. 2) I know many shops like to keep their proprietary specs hush hush (but it doesn't hurt to ask). If...

Custom X+Magnaflow Ovals vs. Pypes X+Violator Catback

Yeah, the Pypes kit looks great. I just may go that route. I'm not sure yet. I had Magnaflow 4x9 Ovals on a custom X-pipe on my SS and they sounded great. Anyone else?

Custom X+Magnaflow Ovals vs. Pypes X+Violator Catback

Quick exhaust question: I'm debating either between.... A) Custom, aluminized, mandrel bent 2 1/2" Off Road X-pipe hooked up to a pair of Magnaflow 4x9 Ovals, going over the axle to stainless tailpipes. ($550 installed) OR B) "The Beast" Pypes X pipe and Catback kit (which includes...

    '88 Fox with a 403ci engine - ????

Thanks for the advice everyone! I'm gonna definately pass on this one. Also, I must confess, I'm not a total Newb to Stangs, as I did own a '93 LX 5.0 5sp (NOTCH! - bought it in '99 from my little bro who was the original owner) and drove it for a year without modding it at all (I wasn't...

    '88 Fox with a 403ci engine - ????

It's amazing, yet by looking at it, the car seems legit, with a horribly informed seller. If it's 3.73's there's probably no 9" back there. It's probably still an 8.8 (which is fine). If it's "bulletproof," it's either spooled or lockered. This car looks like an 11sec. car. I wish this guy...

Hehehe, "Racing Clutch" and "Bullet Proof rear end". Gotta love the detailed description of the components.
