    AC/Heater Box Refurb??

PM me your address and I will send you an extra seal kit I had.... someway I ordered two of them and there is no reason for me to throw it away. It is basically all the foam pieces and is for a factory installed 67 AC, which I believe would be the same. Let me know if you want it.

Spoilered trunk lid and end caps for 65.

I got mine from Branda. The trunk is a factory vacuum formed piece and it is wonderful. The extensions were another story, but they were VERY clear that it would be some work to get it to fit. I have a few pics on the website listed below, and feel free to ask questions

Did that 66 include all the glass and hardware inside the door? :-)

Optimus Prime - The '68 Coupe

65ShelbyClone... no, I think you are right... I am the one talking about the inside of the door sheet metal where the window brackets are. I can see where everyone wants to 'see' what is happening and I have been stuck in the house for 4 days with all this snow... so I am the crazy one!

Optimus Prime - The '68 Coupe

The wrinkle texture inside the door is sound deadening material. Just shoot over it and it will be ok. You shouldnt be shooting that much primer to cover up something 1/8" thick....

Optimus Prime - The '68 Coupe

Yep, I had a hard time finding it as well. I used a 3/16" closed cell foam about 1" wide with adhesive on one side. I got the roll from a refrigeration service company. The sole purpose of this foam is to compress (and almost completely) to seal off the space between the stainless weather...

Optimus Prime - The '68 Coupe

The goop that is in between the door panel and the door is the sealant used for the 'paper' water seal. When you get it all done and cleaned up, you will replace this paper with a new one that is black on one side and plain on the other. This keeps the away from the inner portion of the door...

Optimus Prime - The '68 Coupe

I must be color blind or crazy (probably the last one) the ONLY acceptable color for any car of mine is red... no others accepted. For every car I have ever owned (and I stopped counting at 25) they have had red on them in some way or another...

    Factory 1967 AC Question?

Classic auto air has the parts only when they are available. It depends on the amount that you have missing. They have a full functional 'after market' style that is very nice. Just talk to them and see what they say. I had too many of the original parts and working switches, dash parts, etc...

Optimus Prime - The '68 Coupe

Yep that goop is 40 years old and still working... good stuff huh! I dont know if I would put new gasket material on them when you assemble them. You will need to do this at time of final assy post actual painting. The most important thing is sealing of the mounting nuts so you dont pass...

Optimus Prime - The '68 Coupe

I ziplocked all the specialty bolts and brackets.... inside the doors, regions of the car, trip, etc. That made it much easier to 'match' the bolts when I put it together with all new ones. I am thinking I have some extra parts left over which I will NEVER use. I think one might even be the...

Optimus Prime - The '68 Coupe

Ok, I read and read the primer post... but I have a question. Did you or did you NOT use the 2 part primer? You had mentioned you were going to use a can, etc then possibly a 2 part over the can primer. Anyway, whatever primer you choose, or should have chosen, you need something that is...

    Help with Shelby ID?

Yeah, that is what I was thinking... I knew what the CS was and I never knew about a coupe that was a shelby... I was just seeing if the VIN would showup in a shelby search... I just wanted to be sure it wasnt something 'super special' that appeared in a guys barn in TX 30 years ago and someone...
