I was checking out the two GT500s at the local Ford dealer when a salesman comes up and asks if I'd like to buy one. He tells me they have a 3rd on order. I replied, "can I get it at sticker?" and laughed because I knew the answer already. And sure enough I got the negative reply. Not sure...
Thanks guys, has anyone actually used this kit. I know I would prefer it over the zex on reputation alone (not trying to badmouth zex at all), I'm actually considering it for ease of install alone. I just want to know about this kit specifically.
What are the advantages of using this plate kit over a single nozzle kit?
Is anyone here using this kit? If so, how is it working out so far and what ETs are you running? and what shot? How was the install? This will be my first nitrous install.
At what point do you guys recommend...
I prefer to think of it not as not getting a gain from an aftermarket shorty header, but already having the gain from the stock manifold....basically the case with the S197
I only know mustangs, but I can confidently say that the e-brake on most if not all mustang activates rear brakes only, not the front brakes. When jacking up your car always block at least one wheel, I usually do two. Be Safe, ride fast - Ryan
This new system seems pretty cool. I like the idea of a plate with a spray bar to ensure that equal amounts of nitrous make it to each cylinder. Does anyone know where I can order this? I haven't been able to find it anywhere.
Also, what are everyones thoughts on this system versus the...
I have about 15000 miles since june. Cleveland spurred an interesting thought. He said his odometer is off because he didn't re-tune for his 4.10s. This leads to the possiblity of odometer fraud if you were to recalibrate it for, say 2.73 gears. Or anything less than 3.55s for that matter...
I installed the "street" LCAs, the ones with poly bushing on one end and a bearing on the other end. Now I have a loud rattle while driving on city streets. I think I may have installed them backwards.
Does the bushing go on the axle side or the chassis side? Right now it's on the axle side.
Back when I was driving busses, I had this parking break problem. I know the busses have air brakes, so this could be the cable problem and completely different. But anyway, the brake linings used to seize overnight to the drums if the parking brake was engaged while the brakes were hot in...
I'm interested to know this too. I was thinking about getting some 03 cobra rims and running some DRs. Saw a similar setup to this in 5.0 Mustang, they were running ET streets though.
I was curious if anyone has tried this or know if there is a problem with fitting the 03 cobra rims to the 05. I don't care if they stick out a little as these will only be used for the strip with drag radials.
Also, would 10.5 rims with 315 tires fit the wheel well without rubbing? Or...
hey, thanks a lot. Both you guys seem knowledgable. And if I remember correctly cleveland, you sometimes go to sacramento raceway. Maybe I'll see you there...just don't beat me too bad
