    I just used washers. I actually welded mine together then used a grinder to get to the right size.

    Fog lamp wires

    I would say go ahead and just rewire the fog lights, as the factory wires are a little small and have been known to overheat or even cause fires. It is really not that hard to do, here is an article that I fornd very helpful. fog light fix
