    I just got my adjustable control arms installed and its great, but I’ve got some noise that I’m worried about, I know that bumps in the road are gonna be louder and all, but I can now hear and feel my gears at different speeds (its kinda like a vibration) and I’m wondering if that’s normal noise...

    hey, I had the same problem with the "cobra" ones I got from summit, and got them returned w/o problems, as long as you didnt damage them and their clean just give them a call, and tell them you screwed up and ordered the wrong ones (dont say anything about installing them):nice:

    Yep u-joints, mine did the same, then it started shaking like a tank at anything over 30, I took it out and was amazed how it even turned at all, i took mine to the local driveshaft shop and had them put in some super strong joints in both ends and then do a high speed balance for under $50 it...

    If you have an adjustable cable you can adjust it out, or buy a return spring at a parts store and hook it so the clutch fork is pulled back so that bearing isnt touching when the pedals up

    I think it comes in where the wipers are, but If you have an exhaust leak thats what you should worry about, two ways to check, one is to look for black marks around the joints, and the other is to start the car with it cold and get under it and feel all the pipes for the air to hit your hand...

    Sorry to burst your bubble but the race in question took place on an Army airfield, which is longer than any little 1/4 mile strip and under direct supervision of the airfield ems and fire dep. so... maybe you should ease off the judgement trip :nice:

    Its almost definatly plug wires!! I had the same problem chased it and chased it, the bad part was I had just done some rearend work and so I almost paid someone to "fix" the problem in the rearend. Remember always start with the simple stuff, to check them just go out to the car in the middle...

    whats wrong with it being close? It will never hit, and I think that spacers might bring undesireable preload unless you also space the endlinks,

    I dont know, the k-member might be worth looking at, you can't really adjust it though, its kind of a replace it item. The control arm bushings are probably fine, and you can probably see if they are the problem by comparing them to the other side, the control arm might be worth taking off and...

    well, to the 350z coment, I dont have 3.73 gears, I have 2.73's and 200k miles and were arnt talking about some little I beat you off the line so I win kinda race, Im talking high speed runs at over 140mph for extended periods of time.
