Dyno Results: Dyno Results: 278.2 RWHP SAE Baby!

Hrm...I downloaded your sheet and zoomed in. I'm still not certain if your A/F is at 15 or 14 early in the run. The y-axis labels (A/F) aren't clear enough to say for sure. Were your readings taken with a "pipe probe" or do you have the actual bungs near your cats? Any chance you can...

What is the best CAI for V6

Okay...how can you have more airflow going past the MAF, but not into the engine?

    05 Dash Rattles...TSB Anyone?

Then that will make it REALLY EASY to fix when it's up on the lift! :rlaugh: Man, I'd love to get the squeak/rattle out of my dash...

    05 Dash Rattles...TSB Anyone?

My rattle is not there all the time---it seems to be a function of the temperature, the condition of the road, the speed of the engine, and the speed of the car. So---sometimes it's there, sometimes it's gone! This morning (about 42 deg. or so) it was really annoying as I was driving to work.

    05 Dash Rattles...TSB Anyone?

Indeed, this passenger side rattle is annoying!! I haven't worked much at figuring out exactly where it is, but it's "above the glovebox" as a general area... I'd be most interested in what you learn from the dealership, too!

    Time to hit the twisties

LOL...it was 73 deg today, and supposed to be warmer tomorrow. I'm thinking about driving the 'stang with the TOP down tomorrow :) Let's hear about the new exhaust!!!

    Bumpers

I'd like hear about your experiences with painting the mufflers black (and leaving the tips unpainted). What brand/type of paint do you intend to use? What prep is involved? I've been curious about doing the same thing to my GT takeoffs as well...

    First "bolton" mod

Nice! Did you adjust your tune any? I'm aware of the "no tune required" pitch for the K&N, but I'm wondering if you did any tweaking...

    '06 Convertible Tear In Top

"Have you driven a Foooooooord, lately?!" Anyhow, the new Mustang 'verts are suprisingly quiet, draft free, and leak free (well, I got a drop when I put it through the LaserWash once...how many PSI is that???) No, it's not a hard top. But that's why I bought it! hehe Personally, I'm...

    Tunes: Alternative Auto, Bamachips, Brenspeed?

I spoke with Lidio on the phone a few weeks back. He confirmed that he had worked up an 87 octane tune, based on the 89. Said it was for a guy that kept having pinging issues--turns out he was running 87 octane (or the story goes something like that...). So--Lidio said he could re-program...

    Winter Tires and Rustproofing

Snow? What's snow? :rlaugh: After growing up in Ohio, I don't miss the winter weather down here in NC. We do get an inch or two about every year, but generally we let it melt before we go driving again! hehe Oh, and my other ride is a 2000 Excursion V10 4x4...so if it DOES snow, I'm...

Finally joining the V6 club! :D

:D Excellent and welcome! You've chosen wisely when it comes to insurance..the V6 is going to help your rates a good bit compared to the V8. We have an 05 V6 Convertible in Mineral Gray and love it! You'll love yours too, I'm sure.

    Dyno Results!!!

Hey scrming---do you have to manually select params when you start the logging? Or does it, by default, select the more useful params to monitor? Thanks.

    Dyno Results!!!

This is good info. I thought the pictures of your other units looked "tucked" into the fender. Question--do the Xcal2 units with logging software (via laptop) allow the monitoring of intake air temps?? Got mine recently, but haven't had the chance to play with these functions-----yet...

    Dyno Results!!!

Ah, very good info! And yes, the end product is a good number indeed-- (and the extra same day runs are certain to help satisfy the scientists that see the data ;) )
