    94/95 MAF install completed!

I believe someone already covered this, but I simply cut off the flange of the 94-95 meter and it worked perfectly? No need for adapters if you're looking to keep it simple.

    4.6 Mass Air/W 5.0?

Once again thanks for the info. I got to looking at diagrams for the 97-up mass air on the 4.6's ( I believe 72 MM), looks as though I can use one of these and only have to repin for the IAT sensor. Not too difficult! One other question concerning this- We are just finishing up swapping an...

    4.6 Mass Air/W 5.0?

Will the 4.6 Mass air meter ELECTRONICALLY function on a A9L computer? I know it has the four bolt pattern, but I have available a 4.6 Mass with/air filter/cone etc. I will be using the stock 19# injectors for this project. Thanks in advance! -Brian

    Machine costs

If I remember correctly, I believe the least expensive I found was on the outskirts of north houston (conroe). I was quoted $450 for bore, hone, all bearings, hot tanked, assemble crank, rods, pistons/rings ready to run. This was a small but very reputable shop which I was referred to by several...

    Track Times!

thanks MOB, same to you. I followed your "P" swap thread for a while, just wondering how you like it now, and if you got all the bugs worked out? This will be my first set of P's (ported) on a personal car however my buddies 347 with fully ported p's worked very well....I hope to do the same...

    Track Times!

I'm happy with the time simply because its faster than my old beefed up 4.6 I also find it interesting that I ran quicker than my old 85 considering my 1st gear ratio is killing my launch and I have kept a full interior. I just pulled a set of "P" heads for $100 so when I finish porting...

    Head Help...351 to 302

I have an E7 head drilled for 351 block that I need to put on a 302 in place of a cracked head. Where can I find a special "stepped" washer to do this? Or can I use a regular hardened washer. Any tips? Tricks? Thank you for your time. Brian

Help Me Fix This Cooling Problem!

Well guys, I attempted to start the job several times but it stormed all day. Killer50, I too thought it was a fan problem at first, but I was told by two friend/mechanics that the fan I'm using on the high setting is pulling more air throughout most rpm's as the the stock clutch/fan...

Help Me Fix This Cooling Problem!

Ok I checked on the air deflector and it does appear to be missing. The overflow tank was removed also when e-fan was installed. Being that I am losing a little coolant while driving with no apparent drips I took a closer inspection. With a laser-heat tester device I checked everything...

Help Me Fix This Cooling Problem!

Well, the condenser is clean and only has a couple flat spots. My speedo does not work, I'm still contending with that issue. I do know that on the freeway I "go with" traffic cruising at about 22-2400 rpm. *edit*......the three core is coming thursday, but I'll have to re-work the taurus...

Help Me Fix This Cooling Problem!

The air deflector is the lower "lip" of the front clip, I assume? If so, yes it is on there. Guys this is driving me nuts. I've flushed the system 3 times already. The car broke down on me the other day, overheating on the freeway and blew a hole in one the cooling tanks. I replaced it with a...

Help Me Fix This Cooling Problem!

Well, now that I have my charging problems corrected, it's time to move on to cooling. At idle and in town cruising I have NO cooling issues whatsoever with my stock rad/electric fan combo. As soon as I hit the freeway cruising at speeds in excess of 60 MPH my tempgauge goes from reading...
