    That's insane! And also very illegal. This is a textbook case of price fixing. As a dealer, you cannot go to all you competition and negotiate a single (or fixed) price. If you want to pursue this, I suggest taking along an attorney.

    I heard the following: 1. The certification fee is $1,500 2. At least one salesman has to take an online certification test 3. The dealer is required to obtain certain promotional materials and "Shelby-Specific" tools. These extra things may make up the additional $500 your dealer is...

    To all who think they have an order

    I've got mine ordered as well. Written contract for $2K over MSRP, the dealer has paid his $1,500 for the certification, Ford has guaranteed they will get one, my order has been entered into the Conceps system. Just waiting for the DORA.

    GT500 Order Product Summary and Options

    I would think this option includes just the radio receiver, and you would still have to pay the monthly subscription fee. They might throw in a few months of the subscription, but it's still probably not worth it.

    Article on SVT being disbanded

    SVT isn't being shut down perse. It's being integrated into Ford's core business. From what I heard, Ford is still going to produce the GT500 for 2 years (07 and 08).

    I find it interesting that the ebay ad states the dealer is being allocated 4 when ford hasn't announced allocations yet.
