    The difference between the GT500 & a Base Mustang GT is the components. The GT500 has upgraded components to be sure, however they must be able to be installed on the production line in the same amount of time as all the other Mustangs coming down the line. The sequence the car goes together...

    The GT500s will come down the same assembly line as the regular Mustangs in Flatrock. They are not hand built the way the FORD GT is.

    Usually Mules are build froms - ie current production. PT most often uses mules. Since this car goes into production next summer these are prototypes using preproduction parts. There are several running around Dearborn.

    The cars are not mules. Mules are used in the very early stages of a program. These cars are the last phase of prototype before production.
