The Quarter Window that Would Not Die

That they do, apparently. I'm still waiting to hear back from John's Mustangs, but it looks like $74.95 plus delivery might be the best I get away with here. I'll give it some time, and unless anyone comes up with anything better than 50Resto, then it looks like the whole motor's coming out...

The Quarter Window that Would Not Die

So I've been having problems with the passenger side quarter window on my '88 GT convertible, and I've gotten tons of help here so far. Let's see if anyone can get me past the next step. After learning how to remove the rear bench, getting to the motor itself was a breeze. Also, learning...

    Why I HATE Stangnet....

So here I am, all happy with my 5.0 what with its stock parts and ability to get from point A to point B just fine and outrunning more than I'd expect from a late '80s build, and I'm thinking "Gosh, I sure have a nice car." But then I start opening up a few forums, checking out a few...

    '88 GT Convertible Help

The air conditioning, for one --- I don't really have access to the materials for a recharge and I'd have more confidence in an experienced mechanic rebuilding the system if serious issues unfold in the process. Granted, it IS a convertible so for the most part I don't need cold air...

    '88 GT Convertible Help

Being the happy owner of an '88 GT Convertible, I'm doing what I can to keep my Fiver in good shape. However, I'm starting to run into a few issues that are a little beyond my ability to handle skillfully. Does anyone have any recomendations for a good Foxbody mechanic in the central Iowa area...

    '88 Quarter Window

I've a 1988 GT convertible who's passenger quarter window has come off of its track and I'm looking for some advice. Here's the deal... It looks like in order to get the interior panel off I'll have to remove the rear seat cushions and that's where I'm running into my problems. It's the...

    '88 GT Convertible Weatherstripping

AH, wait, I think I'm getting it. Don't put pressure on the cushions, as the parts-guy was showing me, but actually on the rigid section of the bench close to where it meets the carpeting?

    '88 GT Convertible Weatherstripping

Rear Well? Standing in the rear well makes me think you're actually standing on the floor rather than on the seats. Don't you have to put downward pressure on the bench to get it free, or can you simply push the unit towards the rear of the car and be fine?

The Official Fox Body Production Number Thread

1988 GT Convertible here (P45E on the VIN), but the door sticker lists 66B under the exterior color code. I've always been under the impression that it's the Dark Grey Metallic, but I don't see that listed, either. Scratch that -- just checked behind the headlight and it looks like 1D: 1D...

    '88 GT Convertible Weatherstripping

Need some advice here on replacing the weatherstripping on a 1988 GT Convertible... The inside stripping I think I can handle, but it looks like I might have to remove the window glass to get to the outside rubber. According to Chilton/Haynes this will include drilling out a couple rivets...
