What is the lightest car I can fit a 351w into?

Miata I hear they make a kit to drop a 302 V8 right into a Miata. The FFR Cobra kit is nice as well, but alot more $$$ than a used Miata.

    Roush Insurance ?

American Hobbyist I use American Hobbyist to insure my 88 Saleen. Really great rates. I like that they don't have set mileage restrictions. Same basic stuff as others, not a primary vehicle, don't use it for running errands, ect ect.

TKO 600 first or TRICK flow top end first?

HUH, WHAT? SPEAK UP, I CAN'T HEAR YOU! (jk) LOL, my wife hated the TKO600. I replaced my busted T45 (I know, a broken T45 in a Cobra, what are the odds:rlaugh: ) with a TKO600 and she thought the new tranny was broken too. "Is it supposed to sound like that?" she asked. Yeah, they whine...

TKO 600 first or TRICK flow top end first?

TKO600=Bullet proof (almost) My TKO600 shifted at 6800rpm with no problems. That's where the DOHC motors make their power, so I was there quite often:D I used GM Syncromesh fluid, it's what Tremec recommends the most for their tranny's. Too bad the frame on my Cobra is jacked up. Now...

    Roush Dealing with insurance companies

Try this company.... American Hobbyist is one. That's who I am going through now. American Collectors is one I have used in the past (may need to be a USAA member though). Sneed is one I have heard of but not used. There's another one I see on Speed Channel all the time but can't think...

Roush Ready to buy an 88, but have a few questions...

More updates and pics I called Saleen today and they verified the VIN as 1988 #334. This is how the graphics are as of now. Some of the other pics show the wrong windshield banner and side stripes. The Saleen registry states #334 had the side stripes shipped in the trunk. The owner has...

Roush Ready to buy an 88, but have a few questions...

Hey Guys, I wandered over here from the SVT forum for some help. I am ready to buy a 88 Hatchback off an acquaintance. He is very knowledgeable and I feel comfortable dealing with him. Before handing over the cash, I want to check on a few things.... 1. Who is the ULTIMATE authority on...

4.10s vs 4.30s Flowmaster exhaust note

What's your greatest concern? Since you do a lot of highway driving, are you more concerned with saving a few bucks on gas? If so, go with the 4.10s. The local Cobra guru here recommends 4.30 for NA Cobras. These cars make power in the higher RPM range, so the quicker you get into the power...

What's the word on Sport trac Adrenaline SVT???

I went to Ford.com to check it out. The only thing I found was the available 4.6 V8. There was no lame add ons package (like the Mustang CS-GT). Did I miss something that makes the "Adrenaline" an option for 07? Don't get me wrong, the V8 option is long overdue. I would have bought a...

What's the word on Sport trac Adrenaline SVT???

Axed Last I heard, that project was killed. Damn shame too, it looked sweet and had awesome specs! Nothing on the SVT website about a come back, so I would not hand over any money to someone taking deposits. :nono:

Can someone double check my math?

I am getting ready to build a box for my JL Audio 8w7. The sealed box specs say to use 0.875 cubic feet, not including braces. All materials will be 0.75 inch thick MDF. So here goes.... 0.875 cubic feet is 1512 cubic inches (using online calc) right? Using 11.5 x 9.5 as my INTERNAL...

    Making the 99/01 hood functional?

I had thought about trying it. I figured it would have been easier than swapping out my hood and front bumper to the 03 style (cause the 03/04 bumper is not the same height, so the hood wouldn't mate to the 99/01 bumper properly). I never pulled down the heat shield to see what would be...
