    Megasquirt Digital Dash

just stumbled upon this recently and very excited for the Pro series. Signed up for your mailing list but curious if there are more details on the projected release date of the Pro series, build wait time, and final pricing? Any preorder option? In the midst of a restoration of my 1990 LX 5.0...

Anybody use a SN95 spindle on a classic stang with upper control arms?

I actually thought about this a while back, even going as far as getting sn95 spindles and the brackets. I've only gotten as far as mocking up the suspension (custom coilover, modified upper control arm, and opentracker roller lower control arm) using the stock spindle. I plan on seeing...

Planning stages for a '69 Fastback

your stock front suspension is an Independent Front Suspension. I see no reason to do a Mustang II kit unless you are using a Modular Motor and really need the room (in a 69 you can notch the shock towers enough to fit one of those anyhow). I'd do a nice set of coilovers, opentracker roller...

    xxx ... 1965 " BLACK FANGs " Mustang ... XXX

my vote is for #1. Possibly #2 if you have oval cutouts at the bottom of the rear valence so they tuck up nicely.

    xxx ... 1965 " BLACK FANGs " Mustang ... XXX

the pipes just look too unfinished... almost like extra large muffler shop exhaust pipes. I think a smaller oval or rectangular tip close to the rear valance (or even some cutouts on the bottom of the rear valance) would look much better. Just something so the tips tuck up closer to the...

    xxx ... 1965 " BLACK FANGs " Mustang ... XXX

wow, very nicely done. Love the hood scoop being rivited on and the flares. Really makes the body look aggressive. Interior is incredible as well. The red stitching looks fantastic. one question though, why leave the exhaust pipes looking so unfinished when everything else is so highly...

    steering and spindle question

Not much... got a set of spindles, the adapters from factory 5, and the coilover kit, but still have a ways to go before they are all installed. I only get to work on the car every couple weekends or so. I'll post when I try it out.

    steering and spindle question

well the aje k member uses a fox body rack and gives adequate clearances, though I'm not sure how that translates to a mod motor installation.

    steering and spindle question

well yeah, I knew that much. I was just curious about the feasability of the setup on a 69 mustang. Clearances, geometry, etc. I think i'm just going to give it a whirl... at least pick up a set of spindles and see how they fit with the adapter.

    steering and spindle question

bored at work and mulling over an idea in my head. Would it be possible to use sn95 spindles along with a front steer rack? Factory Five racing sells an adapter to use the spindle with an upper ball joint. I am shoehorning in a 4.6 dohc and can use the stock rear sump pan for clearance...

frame rail rust - patch or replace?

yeah I just patched it up. Didn't worry about cosmetics too much since it is covered by the shock tower. Only took about an hour to finish up.

frame rail rust - patch or replace?

just got done replacing my driver's side frame rail and now moved on to the passenger side to replace the shock tower and inner fender panels. I thought the frame was solid but looky what I found lurking under the shock tower. (the towers had previously been tied into the frame rail with a metal...

8.8 IRS rear in a classic

DVS restorations makes a mounting kit to put the IRS in the classic mustang. Last time I looked into it, the pricing was a bit steep. I ended up putting it in a fox body I was toying with at the time (along with 03 cobra front control arms, brakes, sn95 steering rack, etc) and had myself a...

Wardrobe boxes work well for seats. Another tip is to get a fedex account - 15% off shipments when you prepare them online.

Anybody else when shopping for Cars check the aftermarket

I agree that the coupe is looking a bit dated compared to the new sedan, but i still think it is one of the nicest looking coupes out there... and you gotta love the VQ35DE engine. Apparently the next g35 coupe is going to take styling cues from the GT-R concept. But I admit, I'm a bit rusty...

Anybody else when shopping for Cars check the aftermarket

You looking at a coupe or 4dr? Oh and the brembo's are a must. I used to have a 350z and swapped on OEM brembos and it was a night and day difference both on the track with much less fade as well as a better pedal feel on the street. And I'd stick with the stock shifter, it is short from the...

Anybody else when shopping for Cars check the aftermarket

I know exactly what you are talking about. The mod bug hit me a long time ago and I've been sick ever since. My stang is currently up for sale and I'm looking for a SUV (probably a jeep grand cherokee or dodge durango) and before I even started shopping for one I looked into what I could do to...

anyone sell their fox on ebay?

I didn't intend this to be a for sale thread or an advertisement and don't want to get in trouble with the mods. But it is the 87 black conv with complete cobra suspension
