    LarsD, i don't want to sound too stupid here, but was your speedo corrected all the way on your 89? 4:10 is a pretty big gear to correct. If it wasn't it would say you had gone farther than you really had, which would be better mileage. 18 is what i just got with my 93 this weekend too...

    Painting Headers???

    my dad and i used some high temp white paint, from advanced auto, on the headers on our Nova, it held up fairly well. i think its about a year old in this picture. in the end i think any paint will burn off, but the high temp white seems to hold up the best. good luck
