    CHECK THIS II OUT

The front clip and fenders were welded together. So the grille, bumper, air dam , and both fenders were all one piece. I was able to sand it down to find the welds and cut it loose from the grille/bumper. The back of the fender, the end closets to the drivers door, was bolted. Up close, the...

    CHECK THIS II OUT

Saw this one in a salvage yard a few years ago and was finally able to get my hands on it last week. Someone sure put a lot of work into it. I've taken off the fender to repair some dents. This thing has two radiators, one in the factory spot and the other allong the frame...

    Explorer alumnium radiator install pictures

looks like it came out of an early 90's pushrod 4.0 v6. Had one just like it in my II. I was using tabs I fabbed up so I could use the factory rubber issolated mounting points on the sides of the radiator and on the bottom. But I wasn't able to finish , put too much money in the motor and not...

    reproduction control arms

Vince I got my upper and lower arms from speedway motors. I think they ran me about $250, but it was way worth it. They come powder coated with ball joints and poly bushings installed and are ready to bolt up out of the box. Saved me alot of time on my II and they look great.

How do I remove my windshield wiper arms?

Ya, thats the way. The tab should pull out about 1/4 inch. But if they are anything like mine which had not been touched in 20 years, they aren't going to just fall off.Once you get the tab out just keep working the wiper back and forth and it will let go. Some WD40 will help.

    EFI mock up.

Stock EFI intake should clear. I heard that the GT40 intakes on 5.0 explorers are shorter and perform much better than stock. On my first mock up I used a typhoon intake which is about 3 or 4 inchs taller than stock. Which doesnt even come close to fitting under the hood. So I don't think I'm...

    EFI mock up.

I'm doing the EFI swap. But i'm notching the hood. prolly use a ram scoop or cowl hood to hide it. The wiring is a pain but once its going it will be well worth the trouble. If your planning on using the serpentine belt system be prepared to either move the radiator or use some pusher fans...

    2031 with 1.6 Rollers

anyone?? Any input on this topic would be useful. Whether its good or bad. Searched the forums and found a few that mentioned using 1.6 rollers with the 2031 grind but nothing on the outcome or pros and cons. I haven't bought either 1.6rr or 1.7rr. I know my E7s will hold this cam back with...

    2031 with 1.6 Rollers

awhile back I saw a 2031 powermax for sale locally that I couldn't pass up. I paid 50 bucks for the cam and spring kit still in the wrapping. I was working on a 1988 mustang project with recently rebuilt Home ported E7s, keith black hyp. pistons, typhoon intake, 19 lbs inj.,and a 65 MM tb. Not...

    Workable Wiring

" I know this is off topic but i know what you mean. Tore the fire wall lining out today. Found a patch panel made out of a 1978 lincense plate pop rivited over a hole and the dash wiring was held in place by several lashes of bailing wire. Not mechanics wire, damned rusty 10 gauge...

    The AOD fits !!!

I,m going to be using a griffen 24 by 19 rad. from summit. As far as clearance issues. It really hasn't been a problem to me because i'm redoing everything. So that it fits right. For instance by going with the aftermarket rad. I needed to fab up radiator mounts anyways so I moved it forward...

    The AOD fits !!!

Finally mached up a 5.0 with AOD today. And actually fit better than I thought it would. Looks great. I did have to cut open the top of the tranny tunnel right at the bell housing bolts. The opening I cut just clears the bottom of the plenum. Factory exhaust manifolds work but are a little...
