POST THE BEST FAQ TECH THREADS IN HERE

I wrote this a long time ago. All the links are broken, but when I get a chance I will try to find some place to host the files. http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/429117-how-install-your-own-gears.html Apparently, at one point in time I knew some stuff. Now that I have stopped racing...

    Self-Porting Job on the Plenum

For some yes, but I already had the tools and my time is free. I invesed $0 in the project and about 4 hours of my time. Seems like a pretty good deal if you ask me.

    Self-Porting Job on the Plenum

Actually a dremel is not a good idea. The problem with is the grinding stones and sanding rolls that it uses are too small in diameter. This has a tendency to gouge out and leaving a lot of small channels in the surface. The best thing to use is either some type of air grinder or drill that...

    drag rims!?

I run those on 15x8's, and they work perfect. Slicks are better for all out traction, but 15" DR's have there place. I use BFG 275/50 R15 DR's because I switch over to them at home, and then drive to the track. I could not do that with slicks since they cannot be driven on the street...

    tire advice

Sumitomo HTRZ II (NOT the HTR Z) 245/45ZR17 $99 I have these for my 18's (245's and 285's) and they are a fantastic tire for the price. Great dry and wet performance. I used to have Kumho ECSTA Supra 712, and the Sumitomo tires are a significantly beter tire. The BFG's might be a tad...

    Clutch Quadrant and parts....

It is very easy to install, but does take some time. Once you see how the stock setup is, then how to install the new parts is pretty straight foward. You will have to crawl under the car and under the dash, both suck. I also bought the whole kit including the cable. The adjustable cable is...

    can't hook up with 18's

Just do yourself a favor and get a set of 15" rims and DR's/slicks for the track. You will never hook well on 18" wheels even if you are running DR's. I bought some 15" steel American Racing rims from Summit Racing for $40 a piece, and slapped some 275 BFG DR's on there. My 60' times went...

Rear seat delete looks too empty?

The seats themselves are not that heavy, but the metal brackets that hold the back of the seat in place are pretty heavy. I made my setup pretty complicated and strong and so I did not save much weight. I would have to guess that is was 10-15 lbs, it could be more or less since I never weighed...

    Twin-turbo vs. supercharger..

I do not think there is much doubt that a turbo setup is more efficient/powerful than a supercharger setup. The reason that most people run superchargers is cost. Superchargers are much eaiser to install, and thus cheaper. With a turbo you need new headers, intercooler, piping, heat shielding...

Anyone know how to replace rear end seal?

Well there is the technically correct way, but there are others that work that are not wrong. I am speaking from experience here as well (I have installed gears and changed a pinion seal with out taking out the gears), and you can change the pinion seal with out having to go though all of the...

Whats involved in installing a Steeda clutch quardant?

I just switched to one a few weeks ago, and I personally believe that it was not worth it. I got the whole clutch cable kit that comes with the adjustable cable, firewall adjuster, and double hook quadrant. I used the stock piece for 5 years with both the stock and a SPEC stage 2 clutch...

Rear seat delete looks too empty?

No, there is no nitrous, that is just a tool box :( The wires hanging there go to my 15" subwoofer and amp. I do not have pics like you are asking for. Take my word for it, it looks stock. Once you put the seats back they are far enough back (atleast for me since I am 6' tall) that...

Rear seat delete looks too empty?

With a little custom work it looks stock. I bought carpet and vinyl from a local automotive intererior shop that matches that stock pieces. I also used a 1x4 to space the back out so that it fits flush with the head rest. The back is hinged so it can still flip down, and the bottom is also...
