    18x9 wheels for 96cobra. what tire size? without rubbing

    I have 255/40/18 tires all the way around on my Cobra. The car is lower 1.5 inches and has a 1.5 inch wider rear in it. I occasionally rub in the rear over big bumps. If I had the old solid rear in it, I am pretty certain the rears wouldn't hit. A 265/35/18 will fit but it is a little shorter...

    There are actually a couple of other differences. 1. The flange connecting the diff to the drive shaft is different. The 03 is beefier. 2. The rear tie rod mounts in a different location. It is either lower or higher by a little bit. I can't remember which. 3. Also some of the bushings...
