    Ticking Sound from Rear Wheel

Well, in my case, I put new u-joints on both sides of the driveshaft and I still have the noise. The brakes were the only thing I didn't touch as part of my swap too.

    Ticking Sound from Rear Wheel

I'm subscribing - I have the same sound coming from the right rear. Mine started after doing a 31 spline rear upgrade. It's very intermittent. I still have the drum brakes back there. How about you? I swear it's in the brakes - someday when I'm bored I'm going to tear them apart and put on...

Big project underway to the Notch. pics

I snapped that bolt too. Luckily, I was going to 31 spline, so I took a cut-off wheel and cut into the carrier perpendicular to that bolt on both sides of the cross shaft. That freed up the cross shaft and allowed disassembly to continue. My carrier, however, was trash. I've since learned...

    CLUTCH (pivot stud) help

Wow - funny you should ask this. I just installed a Centerforce DF on Sunday (with a new fork and flywheel) only to realize that I didn't have enough throw to disengage (it was really close to being enough, but not quite). I took it all back apart and added two washers (total thickness about...

Who sells a shim kit for the T5 Bearing Retainer?

No deal on the 8.8 shims. The pinion shims are too small and the carrier shims are too big.

Who sells a shim kit for the T5 Bearing Retainer?

Who sells a shim kit for the T5 Bearing Retainer?

I'm putting in a new clutch and I decided to upgrade to a steel throwout bearing retainer while I am in there. I bought the Ford Racing M-7050-A part from Summit. It came with a seal already pressed in, but no shims. I called Summit and the only shims they have for it are part of the T5...

PCV oil problems - Help please

This advice will probably get beat down, but I'll give it anyways. I have a Cobra intake and read many posts about oil consumption issues, so I avoided the problem altogether with vents. On my lower intake I have the screen in place and then I have a small K&N type breather on it, and on the...

    Losing all gauges over bumps

http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/images/mustang-87-93_Instrument-Cluster.gif According to the above diagram, I'm losing my ground on connector B (B9). Does anyone know where the ground connection is physically located for the connector?

    Losing all gauges over bumps

Subject pretty much says it all. It appears that my entire gauge cluster (minus speedo) drops out when I hit a bump. The needles jump back to their normal position really fast, so it's hard to tell if every gauge is actually falling out. Even my blinking air bag light stops blinking. Where...

anyone ever replaced sunroof weatherstripping on the sunroof, not sunroof to body

SickSix - yeap, black RTV. I never drive it in the rain, but it doesn't leak when I wash it.

anyone ever replaced sunroof weatherstripping on the sunroof, not sunroof to body

When I did mine, I also took off the metal track, sandblasted, and painted it trim black. The metal piece is adhesive - I put mine back on with black silicone. That made a big difference! Good luck.

    I got a 1988 Capri!!!

That sounds like a good deal on the Bayliner. I have a friend with a 80-something 4 Wynns and a 2.3 Merc Cruiser I/O. It's a similar looking boat and is great for hanging out in. However, it's a little slow for skiing behind. I'm a water guy too, but I'm into the PWC's. Here's a pic of my...

Issue after installing the MM quadrant, firewall adj, and cable.

I had the same thing happen - only I was trying to use a micro-click adjuster (which is thicker). Mine was so bad the clutch was slipping, so I had to put it back to stock. Then I went over to Summit and bought the thinnest FWA I could find, and it barely worked. Luckily, I like mine grabbing...

whats with the tears in the engine bay on the sides by the strut towers?

I agree with Pedro - those are normal. Mine has them. I remember them from when I smoothed my engine bay. I just posted this pic in another thread, but I guess I'll post it here too...
