    fan/cooling questions

If you go electric you might want to upgrade your alternator to keep up with the demand. I put an electric fan on my 94 Blazer and gas mileage went from 18 to 20mpg. Seat of the pants feel was better, also. Not to mention the load you are taking off the water pump. If your temp gauge doesn't...

    '66 coupe - rarity

66 Mustang My first car was a 66 bought off the showroom floor. Radio, heater, white wall tires. $2450.00. Since you're in Texas I'd guess heaters aren't really necessary. I doubt it's rare. I could be mistaken.

    Removing dried egg yolk

I have to leave my car parked outside because of on going projects in the garage. My car, garage door and cement siding got egged Friday night. I got the majority off but there is still some lingering that won't scrub off. Anyone have hints from Heloise?

    Smoking like crazy

Adjusted valves, all of them off by at least a full turn. Also, vavle covers have no baffles. I wanted to get Cobra covers anyway.

    Smoking like crazy

My car has been smoking badly, especially the left exhaust pipe. Pulled the left valve cover to check the valve seals and found the press on style as opposed to the umbrella seals. Also found all but one of the rocker arms loose! I'm wondering if a correct valve adjustment would clear up a...

    Sway bar end-links installation

You could try a large c clamp or vise grips and try to compress them. Easiest thing would be to get longer bolts.

She's not starting! HELP! (could be timing issue?)

Oil pump shaft sits directly below the distributor. It "plugs into" the bottom of the distributor shaft. I had one heck of a time getting mine to seat properly. I found cussing doesn't help.

    Smoke and Carbon

If you have black soot that means carbon deposits. You're running rich. If you don't drive it regularly your floats may be sticking. Drive it for 20/30 minutes then check the exhaust. Might want to try some Seafoam.

Brake pedal all the way down?

You could have a blown wheel cylinder. Check for leaks at the wheel cylinders. If no leaks try and adjust. I'd bet on the M/C though. You can get a rebuild kit, not a hard job.

What's Everyone got going for Projects now that it is getting Warmer?

I've got a 73 240Z that I'm almost finished with. That will fund my 72 240Z V8 project. Then a new engine for the Mustang.

Front discs only or front and rear?

My 67 had drums all around when I bought it. Had to stand on the pedal to stop. I had Wilwood calipers and rotors installed along with a power brake booster and master cylinder. World of difference. I will probably add rear discs sometime down the rotor just for eye appeal. A few years ago I put...
