    94 rack problems

I did the same swap about a month ago and found it was quite a bit off center. I am not sure what you swapped it with, but it's possible that it's just plain way off in terms of adjustment on inner and outer tie rods.

How do I remove the tie rod and ball joint?

Thanks for the information. I was able to finally get that sucker out. It all boiled down to piecing this tool together in the wrong fashion. I put together a junky diagram that should help to clear this up for any other idiots like me.

How do I remove the tie rod and ball joint?

I hate to bring this one up from the dead but I am having one hell of a time removing the ball joints. I went so far as to purchasing the same kit from Harbor Freight and just want to see if anyone has actually used to remove their ball joints. I've tried just about every configuration...

    Flashing Airbag Light

This one has been covered a few times on the forums but start by figuring out what the code means. Mustang 1995 Air Bag Diagnostic Codes

    94 GT electric fan problem

I am sure a few more knowledgeable folks will chime in, but in my case the two wires going to the ECT were barely hanging on by a couple strands of wire. With that said, my advice would be to check the length of the cable going to that sensor for just that. I am sure the next steps will...

    Cluth cable snapped....

No worries! Just to make sure it was routed correctly, I took a picture of the routing of the original cable, before I touched it. The original cable did get a bit close to the header but worked fine for about 10 years before snapping. I first tried a cable from autozone, which made the...

Manual preference - Haynes, Chilton, other?

I have a Haynes, Chilton, and Ford shop manual (on cd). Out of those 3 the Ford shop manual is the best but most may not have access to it. Comparing the two more readily available, the Chiltons book seems to run circles around the Haynes one. If you simply compare the thickness difference...

    Cluth cable snapped....

I have gone through 3 clutch cables including the one from MM. Although it costs more, you can't beat the stock clutch cable.

Water pump dead / how bad to replace?

Don't beat yourself up over it. I too removed a working working water pump, cracked a bolt, had to pull the timing cover, and then found out it was a @#$@# fan issue not coming on when it was supposed to.

Water pump dead / how bad to replace?

As with any small job, the little things can add hours or days to your project. So far you have seen comments from when everything goes well, but mine didn't. In the 13 years I owned the car, the water pump had never been off. The bolts were rusty and one snapped off inside of the block. If...

Snap... Goes the water pump bolt...

I ended up pulling the front cover off to get to this sucker. I was a bit pissed when I could unscrew it using the tips of my finger. I guess I can look upon this as a opportunity to change the timing chain/sprockets (312,000 miles on it).

Snap... Goes the water pump bolt...

Are you getting any types of leaks or did you some how double up on RTV or gaskets?

Snap... Goes the water pump bolt...

I was in the process of trying to change my water pump and snapped one of the bolts off on the left hand side. So now I have two show stoppers that I have to take care of before I can put this sucker back on. I have two questions: 1. It is possible to get a set of high quality water pump...

    95 GT climate control issue

Here are a few pics of the full run of that hose. This will start at the firewall, driver side, and move all the way to behind the glove compartment on the passenger side

    Strange Overheating Problem

I finally got a real gauge on it and see that it hangs around ~215 and will hit near if not right on 230 when at a stop or in stop and go traffic. Since I am now using this gauge as opposed to the normal meter, at what temp should I start to pull over or kill the engine at, aka the red zone on...

    Strange Overheating Problem

Well I am back and going against my game plan after this started to worry me. I ended up replacing the thermostat and found some strange things. I've noticed that when it is up to temp (for the tstat to open) the upper radiator hose doesn't seem to have much pressure as I can squeeze the...

    Strange Overheating Problem

I appreciate the suggestions. I think the game plan I am going to take on this one is pretty much leave it alone. I will just ride around with everything I need in the trunk just in case something happens while I am driving.

    Strange Overheating Problem

It does seem as if the fan is coming on when it needs to and actually does cool it down. Some how it feels as if the rest of the system is not doing it's job so that fan has to kick on to compensate more frequently than I remember. I keep thinking this has to be related to that heater core...

    Strange Overheating Problem

A week ago my heater core started to leak in the car, so I bypassed it by placing a tube between the two hoses that normally went to the heater core. Had no issues with the car running hot. The tube sprung a leak so I cut one of the heater core hoses to make a U and connected each end to the...

Tranny pop when clutch pedal half way down

Yeah I made sure to lube this guy up before installing it. Also the sound just started a few weeks so it could be the TOB but I don't think it's an issue with the lube. It sounds as if I am going to have to pull the transmission in order to figure this out
