As you can see by my low post count, fairly new here. I recently bought a V6 convertible and have been thinking about some suspension upgrades. I checked into the subframe connectors and read a lot of information about them.

While looking at it underneath to determine cat location (I'm doing a true dual exhaust on it) I noticed two square tubes running the length of those boxes underneath. They tie the car together just like subframe connectors. So my question is if these came stock on a convertible or if a previous owner has done the job for me. They look like they are powdercoated black and the welds seem very clean.

One more thing...due to the Mustangs cargo capacity, we took it to our first autocross of the year instead of the RX7 or Miata. Though it doesn't handle like a Mazda, it sure was a hoot guiding it around the cones! Not much power, but then, a Miata doesn't either.
