WTF causes this? I took the car out of hibernation yesterday for a mid-winter gas-guzzling spin and was reminded of something that had slipped my mind since fall: a rear suspension chirp that happens over just about all "sharp" edges bumps like manhole covers and moderate to large pavement cracks. Smooth undulations don't seem to cause it.

Quad shocks?
LCA front bushings?
Parking brake cable where it slides through the bracket?

The car has new coils and shocks (Bullitt kit) and new FRPP UCAs. As I recall, it did this before all that stuff too.

When I swapped out my solid axle the front UCA bushings were shot, and the front lowers weren't much better. Not to mention the quad shocks being shot after about 5000 miles...

Get the car up on some jack stands and jack up the axle a bit to see if it makes the sound while articulating the rear end by hand!
