Has anyone ever put an 05' radio in a fox body mustang? I know that it would be a custom job, but I was wondering if anyone has done it successfully. Thanks!
Two problems with that. First is it wont fit. The 05 up deck is too big and wont clear the transmission hump, plus it would be very difficult to mount it and make it look right. Second problem would be wiring it in. You will need to get a factory radio harness for the new deck, then splice it in with the fox's stock radio wiring. By the time you get it all in and looking right, you could probably have bought yourself a cheap aftermarket CD player and done it the right way IMO. If someone asked me to do that when I was an installer I would have told them I wouldn't do it because the cost would be much higher than a new aftermarket deck would be.
