nope, more like Z06 competition! I went to the North American premier of the new Nissan GT-R at the LA Auto show. 480hp/430tq 0-60 3.5 seconds. EDIT: Is the 09' GT-R but available mid 08' Vis of commentary: http://youtube.com/watch?v=8aZipWm1KSI
It's ugly as sin, but it spanked the competition (sans a few true "supercars") around the 'Ring. There's an article in this month's Motor Trend. Did the time in 7:35 Only cars faster than it around that track were: 1. Porsche Carrera GT: 7:28 2. Porsche 997 GT2: 7:32 3. Pagani Zonda: 7:33 4. Koenigsegg CCR: 7:34 Cars it beat: Merc SLR McLaren: 7:40 Porsche 997 turbo: 7:40 Corvette Z-06: 7:42 Porsche 996 GT2: 7:42
Looks to me like that also has some serious tire on it. I will never understand why the Z06 has such poor tires on it, they really hold it back.
GT500 is in a league buy itself, The outdated lets keep old suspension and add horsepower for more weight so we can't keep up leauge The new GTR is a monster, makes me think about buying a turbo and calling it a day if I ever ran one at a light.
Very easily the best car out of Japan in quite some time, with the Evo X and the new STI coming out imports are really strong right now (as well as domestics) I"m just happy to see great cars coming out from every continent
I'd love to encounter one of these on the street/highway. It's a good thing there aren't many twisties here.
My engine can support 700 to the wheels, just need a fuel pump and a better clutch I know someone that could set me up for a turbo build and get cheap parts, besides, 1.3 sec away from that isn't going to bother me right now, I am satisfied with what I got now, it's the suspension I keep working on
thats retarded (sorry lots of offense).... the gt-r is the most advanced up-to-date sports car in the world right now, the best in its class, and why get a gt-s over a gt-r.... maybe u just dont like change? think man, thats a poor decision
