1.7 Roller Rockers

if you install the 1.7 roller rockers, do you have to get longer pushrods, i have a e-303 cam and stock heads with heavy duty springs,

I have 1.7s and I need new junk. But I'm waiting until I get my ebrock heads so I don't have to do it twice. And no you DONT have to. They come with shims for fine tuning with using stock rods. I have to because mine weren't right in the first place. Guy before me had the car ina bad way.

I bought taller covers at the same time. Black with red text. Ford Motorsport or something. I forget if you need them or not, I just wanted new ones. Do a search on here.

What kind of 1.7's, Cranes? I know with the Cobra ones "energizers" you need different pushrods, I did.

i have the energizers, so what length of pushrods do i need, i know that stock pushrods are 6.250. do i need 6.500 or what?

I would consider the stock length rods to be correct..with my combination of parts I was told to use the stock length with either the 1.7's or 1.6's.

I have the same rockers on stock heads and I needed longer pushrods as well.
If the 6.250" are too short,6.300" should probably work OK.

Crane tech suggested I purchase their 6.375" energizer pushrods for 5.0L engines,which I did.They worked out OK,but are longer than necessary in my case and I had to double up on the shims,(which they said was OK),to get the correct preload on the lifters.

Crane 1.7 pedestal mounts use factory pushrods. I've had 2 sets on 2 different stangs.
