10" or 12" coiover springs, what's the difference?

right now i have 12" 300# springs and was wondering if i should have bought the 10" hypercoils, i lowered it 1.5" are the 10" springs better for my application? why is there two lenghts? lowered with 12" springs, will that make ride harsher since the spring is more compressed at ride height?

If the lowering of your car 1.5" has put the coil close to coil bind, then it might be better to go with the 10" but that's the only time I'd do it. I'm running 175lb 14" springs on mine, so I have more stored energy to raise the front when I drag race, plus they ride very smooth. Ride quality will more than likely suffer with the shorter spring.
