We attended the show this past weekend @ the Ice Palace in North Charleston. They had a good turn out with close to 100 cars from what my guess would be. I didn't go count them all. We placed our Stang in and there were 9 other fox body's we had to compete against. Note to the rest of you. This event had real judges checking the cars. Not just people looking and posting votes. They went from car to car, checking in unseen areas for dirt... . Something so simple gave us points in the positive direction. The dern Cargo net in the hatch being present.. I was sitting behind my car along with a friend that has a fox that was 3 cars away from us to be judged. Well the judges come around to the back, looked in the hatch and I heard the main judge say "man this car has the cargo net cover, these cars come with this original equipment and this is so far the only one I have seen with one in place". That caught me by surprise. He sounded excited about my net . Well I'm not 100% sure if it was original equip to the car, but will have to assume it was. I bought this car with 16k on it and everything was original down to the Goodyear Tires. To shorten this up we placed 1st in our class, tied with a 93 black notch that was parked next to us. Being this was a point system, that net may of been the difference from 2nd or tied for 1st. I'll take the tied for 1st! Well here a few pics I took with my phone. Sad to say the camera battery was dead as we were ready to leave the house.. The notch next to my car is the one we tied with.
As we my son and I were getting ready to leave my wife tells me the battery died on the camera. I was pissed . There was a super snake out there as well.......... Hopefully they will update their site soon. Hope my car makes it in there. I remember on about three different occasions someone with nice cameras snapping shots of it. they looks like they were part of the staff..
