Hi all,

I'm looking at a set of 17" x 8" wheels for my 69' Mustang and am trying to figure out exactly what I'm going to need to do to avoid any type of rubbing or fitment issues. My car is lowered ~1" due to lowered control arms (Shelby mod) and a full PST suspension rebuild.
Here are my questions:

1) What backspacing do I need to make sure the wheels don't rub and are positioned correctly in the wheel well? Can the same backspacing be used for both the front and rear wheels?

2) What size tires should I run on these wheels to get the proper contact patch and avoid problems with rubbing or fitment? If I want bigger tires in the back what is the largest (width/height) I can safely go?

Thanks in advance all.
