I recently purchased what I thought was a white 1964 1/2 coupe in very good condition (44,000 miles, all original with a few wear and tear additions). I took it to the local Mustang detailing expert and while working in the engine compartment he noticed written in grease pencil and painted over the words "Pace Car" on the radiator support. He ran the VIN and it appears I have stumbled on one of the 200 Pace Car replicas Ford produced for its sales promotion.
Is there a registry anyone is aware of for this. I am in the process of putting it back in the original Pace Car condition as it was when it was delivered to the dealer.
