1965 dash removal and installation question

How difficult is it to do?
I'm currently looking into a 65 that needs the dash replaced.
Any makers to avoid?

Are you talking about just the dash pad? If so that is not that difficult to replace.

You have to remove the trim along the bottom of the windshield and the speaker/defrost grille. I can't remember how it attaches though. Its been to long ago that I replaced mine. I know it wasn't that hard though.

There are also studs on the back near the radio, and at each end on 66, I think the 65 had only the stainless trim on the bottom edge.

I know one thing, I'd rather replace the dash pad than a headliner.

I heard that, the R&R of the front and rear mouldings is the worst part.
