1969 351W Block?

What kind of reliable power can a 1969 351W Block take? I know that the 5.0 blocks can safely handle around 450 but what about the 351. I seem to keep finding old short blocks out of trucks or vans when I search google so if they can handle 550hp, it might be cheaper than buying a brand new block. thanks

i odnt have any personal experience in splitting a block, but from hwat i've heard a 351w block can handle 600-700HP, the 69-70 blocks were the strongest, all other 351w's are still stronger than the 302 average blocks
