Keep in mind I'm new to the world of fox Mustangs. Can this block be used as the foundation for a 5.0 fuel injected rebuild? Have a '89 GT that I want to slap an engine together for and have the choice of 3 different blocks to take to the machine shop. This one is in the best shape from the get go.

Thanks

sure can, i wouldent worry about block strength unless you're making 400+HP. Keep in mind its a flat tappet cam vs. the 89's roller cam..talk to your engine builder/machinist he'll know what to do, also try not to bore the block more than .040" over

So, does that mean I have to run a flat tappet (hydraulic or mechanical) cam or does someone make a retro roller style lifter that will work with the Ford Motorsport 303 series cams? I have an E and a B cam now and would like to use one of them. And if I do run the old style flat tappet cam is the firing order going to be a problem. Sorry for being so dumb on this. I was raised on Mopars.
