/FLAME SUIT ON/

no leave the 70s out of it cuz the 69s and 70s were bad ass, but 71-73 werent that bad.....the reason i say that is my dad had a really nice 71 boss 351 back in the day....but the 74-78s are the ugliest ever

:nono: This coming from two owners of the car bearing by far the least resemblance to any mustang ever produced before or after it :rlaugh:

Where are the side scallops:shrug: , the pony in the grill:shrug: , oh wait even Ford had to be embarrassed to call the foxes a mustang when they only got a Ford Blue Oval up front.

How can a "mustang" be taken seriously when it can be mistaken for an Escort GT???

/Takes Off Flame Suit/

Serioulsy I personlly think the Foxes are the ugliest Mustangs made, but don't make a habit of trashing someone elses ride simply because I don't like the body style. If someone puts the effort into making the car look as good as the day it cme off the line you have to give them the credit they deserve.

Mustang II's are without question the "ugly ducklings" of the group, but I think it's pretty cool to see one in that shape.

You obviously do not know your childrens story's. Correct me if I am wrong ,BUT, did not, the ugly duckling, grow to be a beautiful swan? What will your stang be when it gets older? Oh ,I know, just another five-oh fox body:rlaugh: Don't get me wrong , I like the foxes, BUT, no matter where I go in my cobra, I get hordes of + comments & looks.( who looks @ you?) The II's are rarer than you think, and coming of age( prices)( so many were crushed or robbed of front ends) but the foxes are a dime a dozen:shrug:

investment

I'm sure it's a nice restoration but those have to be the ugliest Mustangs ever made. .................and the fox bidies are not god i bet everybody had one of those like a {hemaroid} at one time.you see them everwhere.(302 skinny front runners and that exhaust they all sound and look the same:notnice: )by far my king cobra is increasing everyday in value the foxs just show up on pinks all day that cool though just my 2 cents drive what you like i get more thumbs up with the curves and lines of the last looking actual mustang.even the new generation stangs are using side louvers rear louvers and the fine hood scope oh don't forget the stripes none from a fox or faimont :rlaugh: body peace cruise on

I didn't the the II either, but after I helped him work on it. I respected it, then I liked it, now...I love it, and this is coming from a guy who always hated those and thought they were ugly. Well, we turned a car that sat since 1991, to a gem that he drives almost eveyday after work. He has chit for money in it, because he didn't need to replace anything really. We did the body work and painted it ourselves. The only thing he bought was the upgraded headlights, the motor for 350 bucks..(470) miles...and he replaced some suspension parts..(not needed..but he wants peice of mind) Then I sold him the wheels and tires for 175 bucks. That is cheap, ususally I get 300 for used Pony wheels and tires. But I have know him since I was about 10 years old.

Very nice car! I don't usually like pony wheels on a II, but they look nice and Mustang II Wheel choice is pretty limited!! (4 on 4 1/4" with a traditional RWD offset)

I may be Biased though!!

My 1978 Mustang II Mach 1 (yes Mach 1's were made 1974-1978)

The poor Mustang II got a bad rap. "A restyled Pinto"

I like all Mustangs weather they are Restyled:
Falcon's 1964 1/2 - 1973
Pinto's 1974-1978
Fairmont's 1979-2004

Lincoln LS?? / pirated BMW M3 front suspended
2005-present

(o.k that one was a stretch) :D

I do not believe that we are trying to justify the cars at all. Someone made a post with a couple of pics of a beautiful straight Mustang and it gets dumped on. It is dissappointing to see Mustang owners of different eras sh__ting on each others rides. I would suggest that we save it for the Mopars, Bowties and Ricers. It would get pretty boring if everyone showed up to a round-up in the same style vehicle. I have owned and or driven Mustangs of every style and have found good points and bad of each. (More good points!)

I think ANY year mustang put together with care and taste are sights to behold. I think any of them can be made head turners no matter what body style. (even the 71-73 mammoths can be made attractive)

Yes, Yes, Yes,!!! At the Woodward Dream Cruise he was the busiest guy there of all of us!!! People walked right by the two mint notchbacks, and stopped an looked at his car....people were crowded around his car!! Then, they walked down Mustang Alley, passing my Dad's GT500, my Cobra, and 4 other of my friends cars. It was hilarious....everybody turned there heads and went like this when they saw his car....:jaw: There were kids on there backs on the cement looking under his car!!! I should post those pics!!! When I get home I will.

I wanted to heave.

Dean, the above POS looks alot like what's in your avitar.

You see, Deano, if there is anyone who needs to justify the existance of a automobile it's the Fox Body Boys.
