I have a 1985 Mustang GT and the suspension sucks, and it has for years. Around 1999-2000 it was riding real rough so I put KYB GR2 shocks and struts on it. That didn't really help but I lived with it for a while. Last year I put Motorsport M5300B springs on it. These are supposed to be progressive rate springs so I thought it would improve the ride. That didn't happen, either. I recently put Gabriel shocks and struts on it and that didn't help.

By riding real rough I mean that I feel every ripple in the road as a sharp bump. It's not throwing me around the car or bouncing or anything like that. It holds the road fairly well as long as the road is fairly smooth. I'm commuting an hour each way every day and some of the roads are very rippled and it gets tiring.

What can I do to improve the ride? Please bear in mind that it is an '85 and most of the stuff for later models doesn't fit.
